I bought a Canon Ixus 2.1 megapixel camera around 2000 and paid nearly £500 for it and was very pleased with that.As technology had advanced so much since then I researched the compact digital market and decided to stay with canon and bought the Ixus 75. What a super little camera with such easy to use features. I still haven't played with the more advanced features and probably never will, but would highly recommend this camera to anyone.

  Canon IXUS 75
Review created: 21/07/08

Canon to me are the very best of cameras, and this one has everything a starter needs. there is no need to go for a G9. The picture quality is excellent for me. If you are looking for a camera simple to use, large screen, good battery power, then take this.I have a G9 as well but its too fiddly for a beginner though the picture is the best on the market, compared to the Ixus 75 theres not much to say between them except that the 75 is easier to use, and no fiddly bits you have to keep remembering, even the ISO is easy to use and the booklet you get has all the info you need to get unstuck with. The camera is right for the pocket or round your neck and light but well built.

I decided to buy it as I already had one of my own. I have to say I was disappointed when it was a reconditioned item but I should have read the description more carefully. It also came with a US style plug but the seller sent an adapter very quickly after contacting them.

I am glad I purchased this camera rather than a kodak of similar specs. Paying the extra £20 was certainly worth it as the difference in quality of the images between them is noticable to say the least. There is plenty of settings to play around with to get the quality and effects you desire and it can take a good picture in just about any environment. Would highly recommend this camera.

I looked all over the Internet for this Camera & I'm glad I found this shop on E-Bay.
With the package that you get, it's unbelievable.
That's it hope this gives people out there, Confidence to buy Refurbished, the Camera I received is like brand new.
This is not a Camera Review as you can get that on the Internet, its a seller review, A+

Canon Ixus 75 digital camera review
Review created: 09/06/08

Well, I have purchased this camera because it's small, can record video of DVD quality, video recording quality was even better than quality of DVD camcorder Hitachi that I had before.

I like it, but now I think that Ixus 70 is actually better than this 75 model. One thing that I don't like is that optical zoom doesn't work in video mode, however on Ixus 70 optical zoom works. Also bad is that camera will always extract optical lenses when you turn camera on. On Ixus 70 you can move slider to "view pictures" position and when you will turn on camera, lens will not open. On Ixus 75 you don't have this slider and if ON button will be pressed by accident, let's say in your pocket, your camera lens possibly will be broken.

Overall quality is good, camera is nice looking and compact, but now I am thinking of buying Olympus mju 770 which is shock proof, water resistant and is good for all weather conditions.

If you are looking for a compact camera which you can take almost everywhere the ixus sd750 is one the best on market. Picture quality is great menu bar is very easy to use, size of the camera is great to put into your pocket and just go and shoot some pics. Design of the camera is in my opinion just beautiful, lcd size and quality are excellent.
I would recommend this for everyone who needs camera for everyday use and not for professional purposes and with low budget.

An Amazing camera with alot of tricks up it's sleave
Review created: 29/05/08
2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

I was looking for a good quality slimline camera that fitted nicely into the pocket that gave good quality party pictures.

When I started my quest I had a budget of a 100 pounds. for this I wanted A good lens, red eye reduction for low light shots, large screen that is also viewable in sunny conditions, motion correction when your using the zoom and above all ease of use (no I don't want to read the f*****g manual)

I searched on Ebay for some good name brands (Sony, Kodak, Olympus etc) I saw the Canon SD750 at a good price.

Now you do have to understand that this was an impulse bid and I had done NO research on the product I was bidding on and the only thing I had to go on was that the 1st Generation Ixus 2mp camera that i owned was for many years a faithful (yet bulky) companion that took great pictures.

When i received the Camera I had no time to test it as i was on a plane 4 hours after it was delivered.

I arrived on holiday charged up the battery cast aside the instruction in Manley defiance and off i went for a weeks holiday.

First off this little baby is amazing. it's slim, light and very portable. It firs in the pocket without you even noticing it's there.

Then there is the functionality, the instruction manual is still in the wrapping, the menu navigation is so simple that even the most technophobe can understand them. The function buttons are well spaced so even if you have unnaturally large digits you wont press two buttons at once.

Battery life is outstanding! I had taken 398 photo's before the battery died. This includes reviewing photos and working out how to use the menus on the god sized LCD screen,(which has a great orientation thingy that I think just great) HOWEVER (99% of these pictures taken were in sunlight so the flash was hardly used.)

Then are the quality of the pictures.... what can I say but superb!! every shot is crystal clear and rich in colour even the Macro shows the bubbles rising in a champagne glass. You can also print out an A4 sized printout with absolutely no loss in quality whatsoever, not to mention that the red eye reduction is also well above par and apart from my dogs eyes looking like Satan it's does the job perfectly (but then what's Photoshop for)

If anybody is reading this then be assured that this Camera will NOT let you down I am so impressed it has everything I was looking for and more, However if you are considering buying the Canon Powershot SD750/Ixus 750 then what ever you do Only get the all-over silver, the silver and black in my opinion is chavvy,

and for all of you who just want the short review.... Buy this it's the nuts! great pics, solid stylish design (except the silver and black version) easy to use and small.

  Canon IXUS 75 compact Camera
Review created: 21/05/08
by:

This is just what I was looking for. I wanted a small compact digital to complement my DSLR I received for Christmas and this camera is just the thing. It is small enough to put in my handbag, ready to take those shots when I see them, which is what I needed as I am currently studying a Diploma in Photography and need to have a camera always to hand.

The shots I have taken so far have been very clear and spot on.

Excellent.

Totally brilliant camera. Bought for my daughter who is now able to take better and more versatile photographs than I do on my SLR. So good in fact that I am getting rid of my SLR in favour of buying a Compact like hers. It may be a compact but it packs more of a punch than any camera I have ever used. Small enough to take out on a night out with your friends and for it not to make its company known.

Review on Canon POwershot SD750/IXUS 75 digital camera
Review created: 13/05/08

I love the pictures and everything else. Just yet to find out how to deativate the card lock thing that comes up. When you switch it on and it comes up, you can't use the camera and you have to switch it on and off so many times until it doesn't come up. And I still don't know how to unlock it to use.

great digital camera! brilliant quality and more features than you can shake a stick at. two batteries so one can be charging whilst the other is in use. The camcorder feature is easily as good as most standard camcorders but what makes this camera best (for me anyway) is it's size. You can fit it in your pocket and forget about it if you like but have it on you for when one of your friends falls over in a drunken haze.. bigger cameras and camcorders are a hassel to carry around which then means you rarely have them on you when you want them. This little gem is different. top buy.

If you're looking for a small but beautifully made compact digital camera look no further. Comes with large easy to see 3inch digital screen and so easy to use. Two piece construction from aluminium and plastic - gelled into superior quality item. It feels superb - would highly recommend especially at price paid which nearly £50 cheaper than on High Street.
