Samsung Digimax A7 Digital Camera

The pictures this camera takes are pretty impressive, although you have to fiddle about with it to get the pictures right, as sometimes it can make people look like ghosts because the flash is so bright! But its pretty easy to use and ive not had to use the instructions to be able to use it so far!
Lots of buttons etc on the camera make it look complex but its actually quite simple, the only flaw is its a little on the heavy side, it uses batteries like there is no tomorrow and the built in memory isnt very big, but otherwise i really like it!

I have had a Samsung Digimax for about 2 years now. It's has taken many a great photograph, however probably lacking in quality against most modern cameras now.

Battery life is very good with decent 2400mah batteries.

This camera has been knocked, dropped and still contuinues to work like the day it came out of the box!


I found this camera wasn't the best for taking pictures in large low light rooms (halls) but normal household room sizes were fine. (in other words, dont bother taking it to that wedding reception party!).

The location of the flash isn't the best idea either, I used my thumb to zoom, next finger was to shoot the picture, but my index finger seems to want to sit over the flash a lot!

So, to sum up. Great simple, cheap "point & click" camera that delivers some outstanding pictures in the right conditions. Although I am currently upgrading it to a D-SLR, I will still use this camera for the simple fact of it's compactness.

the camera has a brilliant resolution and has a great digital display. although i have experienced some problems with the power source for it. normal rechargable batteries are used up in an instant, and the samsung batteries that were provided do not seem to work, even though they are full of life. Maybe it's just a defect of my camera, but the problem remains unsolved.
overall a great camera though, would recommend

Light Easy & Quality all in one. I am so happy with this camera. I used it on our holidays this year in various light conditions and has not let me down once. It does not chew battaries like my previous camera and looks realy great with many features.

This camera is good looking and so simple to use. After a quick read of the instructions you are ready to go, yes it really is that easy! For the budding novice photographer this little beauty is a must. Add a 2gb SD memory card which will give you over a 1000 shot capacity on normal settings or over 500 on super fine setting. 10/10 !

this camera is about two years old very easy to use bigger than the new cameras out today but still good

For 7 meg, you cant really go wrong. it's not as big as i thort it would be and its very light. only thing is i'm takin a while to get used to the different functions. but obviousy once i've worked it out it'll be a great camera!

Not my type of camera, felt untidy in my hand and far too light. Not as good as Kodak or HP as far as colour reproduction goes, but acceptable, overpriced for this reason.

this is an excellent camera. it's reliable and very easy to use. variety of functions including sound and good quality video recording. A++++ superb

The camera does everything it says on the box. Great little camera. The price was good, the seller communicated well and the delivery was very fast. All in all a good buy.
