Richie Sambora - Stranger In This Town (CD 1991)

THIS CD IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, I AM A DIE HARD BON JOVI FAN, DECIDED TO LISTEN TO RICHIE SAMBORA'S MUSIC, THE LYRICS ARE SUPER, RICHIE'S VOICE IS AMAZING WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Back in the 1990's Bon Jovi went their seperate ways for a few years after touring together in the 80's got the better of them and they needed some time. Jon Bonjovi and Richie Sambora both released solo albums and this is the first of 2 CD's from Richie.

In the Bon Jovi Band, Richie was both the lead guitarist and co-writer of many of their legendary songs so this CD was always destined to be great and it does not disappoint. A combination of rock ballards and fast rock songs make this an excellent and unique CD plus Richie has a unique vocal style which comes through so much better as he has the opportunity to take the lead here.

Whether or not you are a Bon Jovi fan, this is good old rock and a must have for any rock guitair fan's CD collection.

Richie Who?Richie Sambora is the song writing partner of Jon Bon Jovi and a mean guitarist and singer too.This is 1 of 2 solo albums he recorded in breaks from the band in the 1990's.It is blues orientated with a guest appearance from Eric Clapton.My favorite track on the album is the rocking 'Rosie' but there are tracks for all tastes,the album can be found on eBay for as little as.99p so give it a try.For Bon Jovi fans it will make a good change from the norm just as Jon's 'Blaze of Glory' sound track album did,happy rockin'

This album is from the guitarist of Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora is an amazing vocalist in His own right, bring out this first solo effort and what an album it is!
It draws You in immediatly with its haunting yet bluesy first track " Rest in Peace, then into "Church of desire", a rocky little number that will have You bopping Your head...lol
Stranger in This Town is next, a strong blues based rock song with a cutting gutair solo to awaken the sleeping mind, then into "Ballad of Youth", this was a single and an uplifting rocky beat catches You once again.
The titles keep coming, One Light Burning leaving you touched as it slides into "Mr Bluesman", acoustic guitars played by Eric Clapton, a nice touch. Then "Rosie, River of Love, Father Time ( my personal favorite ) then ending with The answer, a song i never really could get into but You never know.
This alum is a must have no doubt, to tell the truth it made Bon Jovi seem kinda, commercial. Richie's vocals are strong, along the lines of Russel Allen in some ways, buy now!!!

This album is excellent - its Richie's own personal style rather then being too Bon-Jovi, very varied it has ballads and also up tempo rock songs.

Very under rate album.Better then what jon bon jovi did on his own in my opinion.A good album to chill out to.
