Jane Eyre (DVD)

One of the best adaptations I've seen of Jane Eyre, characters and scenery are flawless, brilliant screen play, Mr Rochester has just become sexy, Toby Stephens is flawless and perfect for the part. Jane Eyre is timeless and this adaptation deffinately captures the Bronte magic.

If you love period dramas, passion and romance then this is the perfect film to watch, This BBC version of the film is true to the book. A highly recomended film.

I first watched this version of the classic Jane Eyre, when it was aired on the television a while ago, since then i have been hooked and loved everything about it. It is a great story of survival and love. Even though it was quite hard to get my head around what had happened to Jane in the beginning of her life and the start of her working career, it was nice to see her get what she wanted in the end. A must-see version of Jane Eyre. I absolutely love it and can't stop watching it and sometimes wish i was the one marrying Mr Rochester.

My wife was impressed with the film. She has always been a Jane Eyre fan, infact she already had one but this film was more passionate and she feels that Jane is more modern and down to earth, she can feel and understands Jane how she felt and the reason for certain decisions she had to make. Both actors are excellent, in all she would highly recommend it.

This is a brilliant adaptation of the classic book written by Charlotte Bronte. Having seen some of it on the television I decided that I would like to view the whole series and so bought the DVD. I am glad I did, this is a version that I will watch again and again. Ruth wilson as jane is fantastic and Toby Stephens makes a brilliantly brooding Mr Rochester.
