i had watched the first film (pitch black) and wanted to see the second part. i enjoyed it i actually thought it was better than the first as you got to see more about the main character

not as good as the game but enjoyed the film and so did the husband,i understood the concept and found some bits hilarious- another film to add to my vin deisel movie collection - that i dont have on purpose

this is a great watch but lacks the depth of a real si-fi (star wars, alien, predator)

This sequel to pitch black does little to get the pulses racing. vin diesel returns as the fugitive riddick, and instead of combating nocturnal flying flesh eating creaturer he comes up against the planet conquering necromongers. The invincible riddick ensures that nothing or nobody prevents him from maintaining his much desired freedom. A lot of special effects to keep the viewer entertained.

Watched a bit of the film on telly but got late so didn't get to finish it. My partner really wanna to see the end so i bought it for him to watch.

was a great buy now quams about this product fast and excellant. only wished some of the other sellers would sell to us ex pats that is living abroad, surely they would get more people buying there goods as this person with riddick did top marks to him or her.

Great action film from start to finish, fantastic effects only outdone by the eye-candy for the girls!!

I got this for a great price from ebay, and i have always loved vin diesel, he was great in this all action dvd, and i was pleased to see our national treasure,Judi dench in this as well she is fantastic as always in this film. there were a good few british actors in this film and i found it a reviting dvd to watch. highly recommended!

what an absolutly fantastic film...saw it on tv a while ago ...and decided to buy it for myself..to me its a sort of film thats a bit like madmax and starwars all rolled into one...but it deffently has its own stamp of excitement that keeps you watching..no time to leave the couch to go to the loo or make yourself a cupper ..you,ll be glued not wanting to miss a second..

I bought this DVD because my V+ box only recorded the first half before the News on Central, it didn't offer me the option to record all parts of the series and the TV listing did not mention the news would be between the two halves. Doh! So having had a taster of 40minutes I had to buy the DVD.
You can rely on Vin Diesel to come up with the goods this is a sequel to the superb Pitch Black.
Vin Diesel plays Richard B. Riddick a one man army focused on self preservation and against all officialdom.
Excellent visual effects especially on a large screen TV, plenty of action, superb escapism.

Synopsis
The sequel to cult sci-fi hit PITCH BLACK sees Vin Diesel enthusiastically returning to his role as Richard B. Riddick.
Director-writer David Twohy is on board again, building on themes established in the first movie, and expanding his vision with some incredible special effects work. Twohy opens the movie with Riddick on the run from a group of bounty hunters. He escapes them with ease, then seeks information from an old friend named Inam (Keith David). Inam informs Riddick that he has been singled out by an Air Elemental, Aereon (Judi Dench), as the one man who can stop the evil Necromongers from taking over the Universe. Suddenly, the Necromongers arrive on the planet, causing mayhem and destruction. They capture Riddick.
He soon escapes, only to fall into the hands of the bounty hunters he so deftly eluded at the start of the movie. They take Riddick to a rogue prison planet where he is met by scorching heat, an underground penitentiary,
and his female companion from PITCH BLACK, Jack (who is now called Kyra, and played by a different actress, Alexa Davalos). They plan their escape from the planet, and vow to bring down the Necromongers. Things don't go according to plan however, leading to a suspense-filled climax to the film, and an eyebrow-raising ending that suggests Twohy may have plans for further instalments in the story.

Riddick finds himself on the Planet Helion, home to a progressive multi-cultural society that has been invaded by the Lord Marshal (Colm Feore), a despot who targets humans for subjugation with his army of lethal warriors known as the necromongers.

Exiled to a subterranean prison where temperatures range from deathly freezing nights to blistering, volcanic days Riddick meets a face from the past in Kyra (Alexa Davalos), the lone survivor from an earlier chapter in his life, now a hardened convict. Written and directed by the critically acclaimed David Twohy, The Chronicles of Riddick features a stellar supporting cast including Thandie Newton as Dame Vaako, the beautiful and ruthlessly ambitious wife of Commander Vaako, Dame Judy Dench as Rereon, an ambassador for the mysterious race of Elementals and Karl Urban as Commander Vaako, a loyal warrior whose loyalty to the Lord Marshal is tested by his manipulative wife.

Love Vin Diesel in this as Riddick he's so dark and strong (love his voice),nothing stops this man as he is just trying to keep himself alive. The film is non stop adventure and keeps the viewer compelled to watch not knowing if he's going to end up dead or alive or who's side he's going to end up on. I wasn't disappointed if your a fan you'll love this.

I had seen this film on Sky and wanted it for my collection. the action and storyline are excellent and the actors and characterisations are good. All in all one of the best films of it's genre

This is a great action sci-fi. The follow up to pitch black, it starts where the characters have ended after escaping in pitch black. It is very well acted, with some great scenes. I loved it well worth a watch.

This is a really good film it has everything a film should have, like thrills and spills a fantatic start middle and end,
The acting in this film was second to none especialy from the lead charactor played by vin deasile who is a very talented actor.
I bought this film for my Husbands birthday and we all watch it as a family and we found the film most enjoyable.

Decent sci-fi movie with some epic scenes which looked better in the trailer than in the movie itself. Your enjoyment will be determined largely by what you feel about Vin Diesel and the shaven headed, sees-in-the-dark antihero character Riddick first seen in "Pitch Black". Quite a lot of jumping and punching - almost as if it was being directed to tie in with a video game :-)

The Chronicles continues some years after Pitch Black. The film is very visual and looks fantastic. Helion Prime, Crematoria, and the menacing Necromonger's assaults all look very incredibly realistic. I love watching Vin Diesel [He improves with every film]. I love his Riddick personna. He full of action, colour and verve. The film has a splendid supporting cast with plenty of easily recognised established actors and actresses. Definately for my collection and will be watched time and time again.

A very good film with amazing special special effects. This is completely different from the first film Pitch Black.

This is the best sci-fi movie I have seen, Vin Deisel is exellent in his portrayl of riddick. story line, acting, special effects has you glued to this from start to finish. What a follow up to Pitch Black. What are you waiting for buy it.

Vin Diesel is ace, the film is ace, the special effects are ace, the acting is class.

A film that been proportioned on a budget, but has exceeded all expectations and beyond!
