I bought Zuma because I have always been into Neil, since his Buffalo Springfield days. I first bought it as a vinyl recording in 1975, as I had all his previous albums. Years later I bought it on tape and later again on CD, I bought the recent CD on ebay because my old CD was played out.
The album is pure Young & Crazy Horse, every track great, commercial songs like Don't Cry No Tears, Lookin For A Love and Barstool Blues. Danger Bird is heavy and Cortez The Killer, is epic, no words needed, just listen to it.
Neil was saying it all on Zuma and is probably to only artist today saying what he said back in 67,(with the Buffalo's ) and his first album Emperor Of Wyoming, Neill still cuts it and the music gets better, listen to his latest album.
There is nothing I dislike about the album. I have been listening to it for, wow 33 years and it is as good today as when I first bought it, that's the genius of Neil Young, he is what rock music is all about, long may you run.
