Introducing the infamous 'Billy The Kid', Young Guns is set in 1878 in Lincoln County, USA. John Tunstall is the British ranch owner who hires six wayward lads as 'Regulators' to protect both himself and his ranch against the brutal Santa Fe Ring, lead by Murphy, a ruthless rival ranch owner. Following the New Years' festivities, Tunstall is killed in an ambush, and the Regulators seek revenge through the law and with the help of their lawyer, Alex, they become deputised law-men hunting down Tunstall's killers. As their blood fueled vendetta turns into a gory riot of violence and revenge, they are branded outlaws and hunted themselves, becoming the targets of the largest manhunt in Western history.

Emilio Estevez at his smoldering best with an excellent supporting cast. A first-rate portrayal of life in the 1800’s American West.
By far the best line in the film comes right at the end, delivered by Billy, ... "Reap it Murphy, you son of a bitch".

Brilliant film, best story of Billy the kid by far. Full of action and loads of comedy not to mention loads of gorgeous men!! I decided to buy the dvd as i had been after it for a while and it was a bargain price.

I decided to buy this as my partner enjoys the film, when i recieved it, the DVD was in German packaging and i was also lead to believe it was the 2nd one and it was not.

I watched the film originally about 10 years ago, when I was 19 and thought that it was well acted and an excellent story. Today I have no dought that the story itself is completely fictional but that is not important. The performances given by the so called 'brat pack' and not 5 star but this is made up for with a great story and an all round feel good factor by the end.

This is very much a boys film and centres round the theme of friendship and loyalty. Any fan of Emilio Estevez will love this film. Young Guns 2 is equally as good and I intend to purchase it when I get a chance.

excellent film was great value for money been looking for this fil for ages and found it to be quite expensive then i looked on ebay and got it for a song cant think of anything bad to say as it was great

cracking film i love it i got it because i had it on vhs and have got rid of video recorder so i got it on dvd

I would have to agree with everyone I know this is the one of the best westerns ever made if not the best.
