I bought this album to help me complete my Pearl Jam collection. It's not their best album but they can't do much wrong for me! I love the slow songs: Faithful, Wishlist and the inspirational Given to Fly. PJ released quite a few experimental records and the experiments were not always perfect, but at least they never stand still.
They are still rockin'.
Their best albums in my opinion are Ten, No Code, Rear View Mirror and the new one, Pearl Jam. I don't think you'd put Yield in that list but some of the songs on it are well worth more than one listen , even if for Ed's fantastic voice alone.
Pearl Jam play the music I waited all my life to listen to, and Ed's is the one voice that stands out as the best I've ever heard.
