The beatles them selves had very little do with the film but there were four new tracks, one being the great " Hey Bulldog", which is worth buying the cd for just this track alone. So if you have never heard this cd, (so where have you been), then buy it and if you really like it a lot then buy the DVD.
This one is not the best album they did but, if you are a real fan, you have to have it ! You can also buy the Dvd Movie, witch is an incredible animation, if you consider the year it was realised... Fortunately, Paul mcCartney is still alive and well and he continues to write very good songs.
A masterwork of weirdness with the original film score written by The Beatles and padded out by George Martin when they got bored. This is a whole raft of hippy trippy tracks that make up the film soundtrack and as such it is an interesting glimpse into the effects of LSD on the developing intellect. Only for the real Beatles fan or passing time traveller. Strangely the whole CD insert notes are given over to the wonderfulness of 'The White Album' and don't touch on the film at all! How any-one can think up a reason for 'Revolution Number 9' apart from filling up a chunk of the LP is baffling - they call it cruel, paranoiac, burning, agonised, hopeless, they got the last word right!
I STILL (2 months on) HAVE NOT RECIEVED THIS ITEM, THE SELLER HAS TAKEN THE MONEY AND NOT DELIVERED THE GOODS. I FEEL BADLY LET DOWN BY SOMEONE TRADING ON EBAY AND I AM VERY ANGRY ABOUT IT.
The Beatles are perhaps the greatest popular musicians of all time, and when you listen to this album you will understand why. Not their best album, but still plenty of incredible songs on here - that will never go out of date. Incredible Stuff. Guaranteed something for everyone. Everything from the Sleeve to the music is Legendary - Plus in HMV/Virgin these beatles albums are always around 12-15 so grab yourself a bargain.
