i couldnt find it anywhere else hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Hi, Its a great film and the service received to get it was second to none. It has all my husband's favourite character's in it, the same as in films like brassed off and it features scenes of a poorer England such as during the miner's strikes, but is also light hearted and shows that despite coming from a poverty stricken family youngers can reach their goals.
Bought as a present for my partner as he loves the film very much. Sat and watched together with a bottle of wine and some choccies. The film stars Sean Bean (WOWeee...lush!!!!!) as a no-hoper who finds an outlet in football - and then the fantasy really takes off.....signs up for Sheffield United and scores the winning goal to win the Cup. This apart, the film scores, for me, the same as Sean Bean`s tattoo - 100% BLADE.
i like sean bean in this film, he stars as a wannabe premiership footballer. I decided to buy this film because i saw it a few years ago and loved it then! Cracking football film about sheffield united
When Saturday Comes staring a young looking Sean Bean as a would be professional Footballer called Jimmy Muir who lives in Sheffield. The film mainly involves around sean Beans character and his family as well as friends.
It Starts at the begining of the film where the young jimmy muir is just going to leave school and is speaking to the Careers advisor who advisers him you have two choices rather go down the pit and be a coal miner or work in the factory.
He decides that he doesnt like either one of these but for a while he does opt for factory work and play part time in a pub football team where he is spotted by ken Jackson played by Pete Postlethwaite and ends up playing for a better football team and gets paid for it There is a mixture of adversity, sport, family life etc and there is also some romanance in the shape of the actress Emily LLoyd Character who just happens to work at the same factory as Sean Beans Character later on as a Wages Clerk.
I really enjoyed this films and i thought it was good in some parts what i didnt like about it it took a while to get going. But i would Recomend this film to people who would like to see someone up against the odds and get through it all and if you support Sheffield United you will also like this film as Sean Beans Character gets to play for them later on.
