I have owned this dvd What Lies Beneath for about 4 years. The reason I bought it was because I first saw this amazing film at the cinema. This film is 124 minutes of pure nail biting action. The dvd has superb 5.1 surround sound and fantastic picture quality. The extra features on the dvd are very good too. You can watch the film with audio commentary by Director Robert Zemecks. The featurette about making this film is also interesting to watch. Also cast and crew info and orig theatrical trailer.
What Lies Beneath is a spooky story about a couple who seem to have the perfect life. Harrison Ford plays Dr Norman Spencer who seems happily married to Michelle Pfeiffer(Claire). They have a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Norman has a very good job. Their daughter leaves home to goto to college. Claire starts to hear and see things that will not go away. She is lead down a path to the truth of what really lies beneath.
This film has a wonderful plot that keeps you hooked all the way through. Loads of action and surprises and the music and filming is really spot on. It has a kind of floaty feeling and takes you on one hell of a great ride. I was on the edge of my seat the entire film. Another thing I like is you cannot guess what is going to happen next like so many other films. Well worth adding this to your collection if you enjoy a film with a supernatural storyline with plenty of action and jumps.

This is something like an Alfred Hitchcock/Alien movie in the sense that it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for the boogyman to jump out. I bought it because I'm a fan of Harrison Ford and had not heard of this film before.

What lies beneathThis is a good story with two strong leading actors and a really good story line. It is not easy to predict how it will end and is full of suspense and intrigue. The film is the right length and not too over indulgent. The story picks up pace quite quickly and is one of the best films I have seen in a long time.

All the factors to make a great thriller!
Michelle Pfeifer is as beautiful as ever and really delivers in this film!
The story line takes a while to become apparent, however this all adds to the suspense when the twist is unraveled! You are pretty much discovering as the main character does and I loved that!

What Lies Beneath DVDA brilliant supernatural thriller, that will keep you guessing till the end. It's a film that I have seen on many occasions and decided it was about time I owned a copy at long last.
Michelle Pfiffer and Harrison Ford are both excellent in it, both portray strong characters, that the unfold throughout the film.
I believe it's one of life's must sees!

Excellent stuffGot fed up with horror films, have seen all of them and they just dont cut it anymore with me, so I decided to give the thrillers a go. This flim is superb, it keeps you guessing right to the end and the acting by boths leads is first class. If you have never seen it, just get it,dont read the cover and just sit back in the dark and enjoy. One of my all time fave's.

Supernatural thriller of the highest quality. Good storyline, first seen it at the cinema when it came out and didnt hesitate to buy it on dvd when i saw it on sale.

I BOUGHT IT AS IV BEEN WANTING THAT FILM FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGHT ABOUT LOOKING ON EBAY. WHEN FOUND IT I DECIDED TO BUY IT. THE PRICE I PAYED FOR IT WAS GREAT TOO. CHEAPER THAN IN SHOPS, BRAND NEW TOO. I LIKED THE FILM SINCE I FIRST SAW IT. THERE REALLY NOTHING I DONT LIKE ABOUT IT.

What Lies Beneath is a great film. I love Mechelle Feiffer and Harrison Ford and they go really well together in this film, it almost left me feeling a tadd envious of her, well i said almost. Spooky, makes you jump, has a good story line and could be true it's all you need for a night in infront of the box!

This is an excellent film. I must have watched it a dozen times. A story with a really good supernatural twist and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole film. A definite must see! 10/10
