Well this was my first Chilli Pepper album. I have listened to "Mothers Milk" and "One Hot Minute" before but I don't think it had the same kind of ring to it as "what hits?". It is just like you would expect a Chili Pepper album to be. It is well written (although you can hardly hear the lyrics under all the noise and din from Berny and Chad), the music is good (which you can hear plenty of), and overall it gives a blurred Saturday night out image. The 18 tracks are incredible and this is persistant throughout the album. Overall I would say that it is a good taster of what the Chili Peppers style and tone of music is like. ..
Proper music, what else can i say !! if you like punk, rock or whatever you want to call it, then get this album and all there others, probably the best band in the world ever!!
wouyld like to say thank you received in good condition . thanks..........................................................................................................................................................................
Great raw chilis as I like them, this album is a must for all chili fans! Even if you have never heard them before this is a good album to start with as it has some songs which you will know or have hard of and some which you havent.
The Chili Peppers' 5th album is a compilation, its a mix of raw, funk-metal (from their first 3 albums) and more rhythmic, guitar based classic rock songs from Mothers milk. The classic 'Under the bridge' has been put on i can only assume to boost sales. Its ideal for a fan of the new chili peppers who is wanting to explore their older, less commerial work. In my opinion, their older albums are better than the newer ones so i think its for anyone who calles themself a chili peppers fan.
