Excellent CD I prefer Joaquin Phoenix singing to Johnny Cash but then thats because i'm young! Walk The Line DVD was excellent and so is this CD BUY you won't be disapointted dansjoinery
It's a great soundtrack CD. The main reason I bought it was because I couldn't fond Cocaine Blues anywhere else, and Joaquin Pheonix does a brilliant job with it. I really enjoyed the film, (5/5) but since Times A Wastin' wasn't on the soundtrack it got 4/5. Otherwise - first class.
If you have seen the movie and loved it then you will also love this album. the only reason I didnt give it 5/5 is due to the fact that its missing the duet "Times a wastin".........Apart from missing that track it has all the other good numbers and I thought it was terrific.
If you loved the movie, you will definately love the cd! there are loads of classics performed by the actors. i loved the live performances on the movie and these are full songs, 100% quality audio, you really believe you are listening to johnny cash rather than jaquin pheonix
what a great sound track this is cant stop listening to it, the movie its self is fantastic so if you loved the movie youll certainly love the sound track!
Lovers of the original Man in Black will surely admire this fantastic effort by Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. Phoenix's voice is almost eerily like the great Cash himself and both seem to be having a whale of a time, check out 'Jackson' especially. This could introduce Cash to the masses again - my 16 year old daughter hasn't stopped playing it!! Great fun, and well worth buying.
What a great soundtrack, it is a great homage to Johnny Cash and worthy of the name he brings to it.
If you loved the movie you will surely love the CD too and even if you haven't seen the film but you love the music of the Cash man than you should also listen as Joaquin Phoenix still manages to hit the low notes just as Cash does.
Over the past year I have grown to love the music of Cash, and this little gem is definetly a nice addition to that catalogue
