HIM - Venus Doom (Special Edition) (CD 2007)

I have been a fan of Him for awhile now, and have enjoyed seeing this artist grow. I adore the old albums, the more recent ones such as Dark Light and Venus Doom have taken me longer to accept them.

When hearing Venus Doom for the first time I hated it, the instrumental parts seemed too cluttered, people said that Dark Light had been too airy and light, so in this album it seemed they were trying too hard to sound heavy. To fully appreciate this album I highly recommend you buy the Versatile Doom Dvd/Cd, because watching his live performance made me love the songs of the Venus Doom album...

This is a high quality album, you just have to give it a chance, and listen to it a few times...The packaging of this limited edition is nice, although what is dissappointing is the shrink wrap. Once you remove that you lose the track list, they should have written the track list on the cd cover itself.. I would grab this item quick, it being a special edition it cause it to dissappear fast..
