Is alive and kicking. If you've got the others, you've got to have this one too. I bought it purely because it's by Mike Oldfield, it has to be good, and of course it is. Dynamic, electric, everything the original was and more, but in a more modern mode. A series of interlinking tracks that wander, at times seemingly randomly towards a purposeful finale. It couldn't be done by anyone else, not this well. It has it all. Will this man ever stop? I certainly hope not. Ah, the bells, the bells.
Unlike TB1, this album is a collection of much shorter tracks, but all of which inter-link with each other to a greater or lesser extent. Oldfield has done a superb job of making a modern sounding but still technically excellent sequel to the original all those year ago. Personally, I cannot recommend it highly enough, although for someone new to Oldfield's work it would make sense to hear the orginal first!
This is an absolutely brilliant cd. Easy to listen to, but with a lot variation. I bought this because I have a lot of other Mike Oldfield cd and my wife wasn't a huge fan, so I bought this in the hope that it would change her mind! She still doesn't like mike oldfiels other stuff, but she loves this!! Really would recommend this cd to fans and non fans alike.
