A great cast including Val kilmer- 'Ice man', Kelly McGillis, 'charlie' and Mr Tom cruise himself!..who plays the arrogant fighter pilot 'Maverick' who struggles to be ' the best of the best' against his arch nemesis 'ice man'
Top gun is packed with plenty of action, comedy and its also one of the greatest love stories of all time which features the song 'Take my breath away'-(Berlin)
look out for the scene where Maverick and Goose sing, 'you've lost that loving feeling' to kelly mcgillis which is very entertaining to watch! Top gun is fun and such a fabulous film to add to your collection, i'd be surprised if it didnt have you saying,

"son your ego is writing cheques your body cant cash",
" Take me to bed and loose me forever"
" I feel the need for speed" and
"Talk to me Goose".

by the end of it and singing along to the songs. Its not just a fun film, but its also deep and meaningful, very moving as we see Maverick struggle to graduate his top gun class after a tragic accident. i wont say much more, i dont want to spoil the film but i can tell you it has a happy ending! :)

Top Gun may be old, but its still got charm and its a real good action/ romance film. watched for the first time by a new generation its still had my son and daughter sat on the egde of thier seats towards the end.
as for me a great film to revisit and watch all over again.

the dvd is one of my films that i can watch over and over again i havent seen it in some years so i looked it up on ebay and bought it at a good price and it was delivered next day

I purchased it for my partner who had been wanting this for ages and EBAY was the best, quickest and most reasonable way of doing so.

love this film, tom cruise and val kilmer are just awesome in it, brought as a treat for myself and will probably wear it out lol.

Everyone has seen Top Gun. I had it on video but wanted it on DVD. It is great to fall to sleep to. I have a Dead Mans switch that stops the DVD when I drop off. When I wake the action resumes. Who was the mother of the Soviet pilot he killed? Great music. She, whoever it was, could do with a nose job. Great, Buy, Buy, when I resell it on Ebuygum bay. Yorkshires answer to Ebay.

Top Gun is the epitome of the 80's cheesy movies. Watch it now and you'll be blown away by how homoerotic it is. Got to be in ones top 10.

I Totally Disagree with the other eBay members who have reviewed this movie!
I have watched Top Gun (to my everlasting shame) and it has to typify everything that I hate about the American film industry! Don’t get me wrong – I do like American movies, and generally speaking they are very good at action movies… This movie however, falls very short of the mark! It’s tacky, predictable, boring and sickly in its sentimentality. Top Gun is a Chick-Flick that tries to appeal to both sexes, but falls at the first hurdle! Casting (cult worshiping) Tom Cruise as the central character has ensured that this film will never be taken seriously outside of a Scientology Convention.

It's just a great film and one that needs to go down in the relic area as superb.

Between Maverick and Goose it makes it good.

Fast delivery and good condition, a blast from the past, needed for Saturday nights when the TV is crap

I think this is such a classic great film, it has some great classic moments. Noone can forget, you've lost that loving feeling! The acting is very good. Its also got a great soundtrack with some fab songs.

A really great film that will appeal to both men and women of all ages. Tom Cruise in probably his best role opposite Kelly McGillis. A must for your DVD collection.

I bourght this film because i hadnt seen it in years. And someone told me it sounds great in surround sound. So we just happened to buy a HD ready tv with surrond sound! and you can guess the rest.

I bought this DVD because I have it on Video, but it was on it's last legs. If you have Dolby 5.1, then this is the best title to test it, you can feel in the middle of the flight scenes with planes flying round your room!

This is a classic film I am glad I have it on dvd it is better viewing than on video I have watched over and over again.

Still a fantastic film to watch, with Tom Cruise at his best. (What has happened to him lately!!)

I love the film and have watched it hundreds of times. Upgraded from VHS to dvd purely because tape was well worn. Its a great film.

There are no points for second best, & this movie certainly didn't even contemplate finishing second, The Best Of The Best !
