this could be described as Elton's comeback album.the first he co-wrote with Bernie Taupin since 'Blue Moves',and his best since 'Captain Fantastic'in 1975.3 great singles,'I'm Still Standing','I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues',and 'Kiss The Bride' dominate proceedings, but there was also the title track, with its wonderful synth percussion backdrop, and the gorgeous ballad 'Cold As Christmas'with Kiki Dee assisting on vocals.suffice to say,in my opinion,Elton has never done anything quite as good as this since, and it remains one of my favourite albums, along with 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road',and Tumbleweed Connection.
