As a die-hard Bowie fan for over 30 years, I had come to expect something different & exciting from David on each of his album releases. Unfortunately NOT with this album. Anyone expecting another LET'S DANCE LP will be disappointed. Sorry Bowie fans but this sounds if it had been hurriedly written, recorded & produced with no thought on the final sound. So no matter how much remastering they do to this LP it is still sub-standard Bowie. I'm not saying the whole album is a disaster, there are a few surprises on the album. A great version of the Beach Boys 'God only knows' & an unusual REGGAE sounding duet with TINA TURNER on the title track. Best track on the album for me is 'Blue Jean' closely followed by 'Loving the alien'. It does take a few listens but the end result does slowly grow on you (took me about 5 years!).
