This being the biggest selling album of all time, this has to be great-and it is. Every song is amazing, from the ballads to the more rocky tracks, there is something for everyone.
I haven't got any Michael Jackson CDs, though I love his music from the 1980's - 1990's. This album also has the added extras. Thriller is one of Michael Jackson's best albums, so I wanted to add it to my CD collection. It's a very funky CD, that can be played in any era and still be enjoyed by young and ols.
Having enjoyed this album in the 80's immensely I thought it would be great to give it another bash. I was wrong - the tracks sound dated and the EXTRA material at the end is a pain - just when you think the album is over someone starts interviewing someone else. Dont bother with it would be my advice.
IF theres is only Three things I remember when I die. It will be, Where I was when I heard Diana Had died. Where I was when on september the 11th and where I was When I first saw the video to Thriller. I will say no more.
Great concept, wonderful execution one of the largest selling ever. There are no superlatives to describe this amazing work of art Mr Jacksons Magnum Opus!
Whatever your present opinion of MJ this was undoubtably the album which defined the 80's. Every track is a classic and beautifully crafted and delivered.Something for everyone here from a man at the top of his trade before he disappointingly lost it. There'll never be anything quite the same.
Problem with this CD is that the 'remastering' mainly takes the form of commentary, verbal discussion of the background to the making of the music. OK as an addition at the end of CD but incredibly irritating dispersed through a music CD. No sooner are you enjoying the music when a bit of chat comes in and totoally destroys the mood. I wanted a music CD, I think many of Jacksons tracks are classics, but this is the most irritating CD I own.
For all those over 25 this album will be one of those historic albums that will shape the way you appreciate music. For all those under, it will be a harsh reminder of the perils of plastic surgery. Just in case you're not sure who this guy is, it's Michael Jackson. It's scary that a guy this good looking in his youth has quite literally turned himself into the Child Catcher.
l very much liked the promptness of delivery everything was great l would definatly shop with this store again it was in my hands within a few days and the quality was excellent.
Whatever your opinion of Michael Jackson his music and videos defined the early 80's. His solo stuff was never in my cd collection but I always knew it should be. The majority of the worlds population know the importance and impact of the Thriller video, along with the visual impact of Billie Jean. But looking down the track listings are songs that many may not instantly remember but when heard a switch is thrown to reignite memories.
Add to this one of the most accomplished music producers of his generation, Quincy Jones' contribution is also immense. The true bonuses of the remastered version is that of the bonus interviews if it be Quincy Jones or songwriter Rod Templeton.
This is a true classic in the high street and a bargain at twice the price on ebay.
