The X-Files - Series 1 - Complete (DVD 2004)

everyone knows the x-file and this is were it all started. this is an excellent dvd and if you have ever enjoyed the x-files or are yet to even see an episode, then i recommend this as a purchase. 5 stars

ive always liked the x files and have the series on vhs and wanted to change to dvd i love the earlier ones i dont have any dislikes

Watched this series when it was first on the television all those years ago and really enjoyed it. Decided to buy the DVD so I could enjoy watching all the episodes again. The series is very well made, with some exciting and gripping story lines. Great acting from the key players. Looking forward to getting the other series in the future.

Loving watching the first series again! I remember as a kid coming home from school and watching religiously. It's great to relive that! The condition of the DVD's are excellent - not even a hint that they have been viewed before - and I am extremely pleased. Will definitely buy more from this seller.

See where it all began, Mulder and Scully meet for the first time in the first season of The X Files and we meet the characters that will play a key part in the rest of the series, including AD Skinner, The Cigarette Smoking Man.
Season 1 seems to have a classic feel to it in retrospect, the special effects aren't upto much but are still better than some and keep in mind that these episodes are 13 years old now!

Look out for Brad Dourif in "Beyond The Sea", a must see episode from the season and Doug Hutchinson as one of the best X Files villians ever, Eugene Victor Tooms, in the episodes "Squeeze" and "Tooms".

As first seasons go X Files has one of the best, it hit the ground running and never looked back!

n the first season of The X-Files, creator Chris Carter was uncertain of the series' future, so each of the episodes is a self-contained suspense story; they do not delve deep into the ongoing X-Files mythology or turn to self-parody and humor as do episodes in later seasons. Yet, these episodes display the elements for which the show would become famous: the cinematic production values and top-notch special effects, the stark lighting of the Vancouver sets, the atmospheric halo of Mark Snow's score, and the clever plots dealing with subjects ranging from the occult, religion, and monsters to urban legends, conspiracy theories, and science fiction. Most importantly, season 1 introduces FBI agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox "Spooky" Mulder (David Duchovny), two of the most attractive government officials around. Scully is the serious-minded medical scientist assigned to join Mulder on the X-Files, a division of the FBI dealing with the paranormal. Mulder is the intuitive thinker with a dry wit, a passionate believer in the existence of paranormal phenomena and one of the few characters on television smart enough to figure out who the bad guy is before the audience does. Their muddled relationship, a deep friendship laced with sexual tension, provides the human heart in a world where the bizarre and horrible lurk in everyday society.

First series I think is always the best. You realise how thing have moved on in everyway from cars to mobile phones! But this X files boxed set has all the clasics and the pilot episode. well worth a punt on it.

Agent Moulder & Skully are the perfect duo for these films!
Full of realistic extra terestrial scenes & parts of the film might really make you beleive :p
If your into aliens this is the film for you!
