Recorded in what was known as a bad time for Queen, The Works was released to try and generate more enthusiasm for the band. They did just that. The album is quite short, lasting only half an hour, but the music on it is of a high standard. It contains hits such as Radio Ga Ga, Tear It Up, It's A Hard Life, I Want To Break Free and Hammer To Fall. All of these songs reaching respectable positions in the charts.
I personally love this album, but I wouldn't recommend it to those who are looking for an album to play in the car, because it is very short.
