P.J. Proby - The Very Best Of P.J. Proby (CD 1998)

Somewhere, Hold Me and Some Enchanted Evening are some of the songs that drew me to the album. Memories of my youth.

This item was bought for a friend who had not been able to find it anywhere else, she is very pleased and loves the c.d.

This is a great CD at a great buy it now price. Good value, offering 20 songs. Bought this is as I liked a couple of his songs so bought on the strngth of that. Good all-round CD if you are a fan or have a appreciation for even a couple of tracks. Great to see CD's of this genre around - they are hard to find in the shops. Great, profesional service from seller. 5*!

I think this Artist is very much underrated and I have been looking for a copy of him singing [Maria]for some time now. When I looked on E-Bay I found this CD straight away,everthing on the CD besides Maria is a bonus and I am enjoying the rest of the tracks but I still think this version of Maria is the best I have ever heard.

I bought this CD because I grew up listening to PJ.
My mum was a BIG fan back then and I can remember her going to see him.
The man has a SUPERB and POWERFUL voice and I love listening to it.
It has a good range of songs, and lots of his hits - Maria, Somewhere, Hold me etc.
If my mum was still here she would love it too.

If you only want one cd by PJ Proby this is it!.It has all the hits (I.e Maria,Somewhere,Hold me, I Apologise, Nicki Hoeky, Together, etc) and a few choice Album tracks.
It is also generally extremely cheap and you should,nt have to pay more tha £6.00, if that.Finally, this is the first PJ cd i bought and guess what i ended up buying all his other cds.He is addictive so beware, and if you get a chance to see him in concert(He is touring again) do so, as the voice is still there in all its glory.

Very underated voice from a great performer who did not conform and was much maligned because of it.
A priceless piece of 60s music.

I was living abroad when this CD was released, and was unable to get it.
It is one of the best CDs he has ever recorded, and it shows the incredible range of his voice.The tracks on this CD feature some of the most memorable songs that will always be assocciated with only PJ.
He is in my opinion the greatest male vocalist we have known.
