Bliss, evokes beautiful memories of my first love..ahh, just a perfect album to lose yourself in, like a big fluffy duvet! Especially tracks, "Oh Very Young","Wild World","Moonshadow" and the haunting "Lady D'Arbanville"...like I said, "Bliss!"

It was the best price on the buy it now section, the seller has a high feedback and the postage was very fair at only one pound unlike a lot of other sellers who over charge on p and p

Daddy's Best Jeans / Denim Blue Fading Up To The Sky...

I sort of grew up listening to Cat Stevens. He was on the radio all the time while I was at school and I always seemed to end up singing one of his songs; 'I Love My Dog, 'Another Saturday night', 'Where Do The Children Play', 'Matthew And Son', 'Moonshadow' are just some of the songs I loved.

I bought this CD about 10 years ago and was pleased to find all my old favourites on there plus a couple I hadn't heard of back then but which have now become firm favourites such as 'Lady D'Arbanville', 'RubyLove' and 'Sad Lisa'.

Even if you're not old enough to have grown up with Cat Stevens you can't help but know his music as it has been covered endlessly over the past ten years by big names, boy bands and unknowns alike. The whole world and his dog seem to have covered Cat Stevens at one time or another.

For example; 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' has been covered by Rod Stewart and Sheryl Crow, 'Father And Son' has been covered by Sandie Shaw, Ronan Keating and even Johnny Cash! I could go on... There can hardly be a single person out there [who listens to music] who hasn't heard a version of at least one of Cat Stevens' songs.

This is an amazingly influential CD with 18 tracks spanning almost his entire career as Cat Stevens and I like all of them except 'Peace train' which, for some reason, I find incredibly annoying!

Do I have a favourite? Yes, a couple in fact; 'Sad Lisa', 'The First Cut Is The Deepest' and 'Wild World'. Ok, so that's three. But, as I said, this is a REALLY good CD.

If you've read any of my reviews you will know I love lyrics and for some reason Polygram chose not to include the lyrics with this CD. There is no excuse for that. Bad People!

This is a truly great CD with something for [quite literally] everyone. Enjoy.

Regards
tbod

This is a classic compilation of simple but delightful songs.
They ring as true today as when they were first recorded.
The music of Cat Stevens (now named Usaf Islam)
will always be a welcome and warming sound.
I bought this CD as I no longer had my original audiotape and
was missing hearing it. Great value purchase on ebay.
