3 CDs with some quality singles right back to the early years. Paint it Black being one of my favs is quality but any Stones fan will find this set a real gem to add to their collection.
This collection is an absolute must for any Rolling Stones collector. I am sure it will be enjoyed by old fans like myself and younger fans that are coming along - genuinely appeals across the generations.
This album is a compilation of all the Rolling Stones' single releases up until the late 60s or early 70s ,along with the B-sides ,including the alternative B-sides on the American singles .It is very interesting to see how the band's recordings become less blues-orientated and more complex in their structure .This is very similar to the way the Beatles songs improved as recording studios got more technically advanced & the bands had more money & time to spend in making their records . I recommend this album to any Rolling stones fan who may not know a lot of the earlier releases & to anybody who is a fan of music from the 1960s .Most of the songs sound as good today as when they were originally recorded & put a lot of today's chart music to shame !
