Simply their best album, thought provoking lyrics smoothly sung by lead Roddy Woomble. A change of direction from earlier albums Hope Is Important & 100 Broken Windows.
Although some people see second best as a bad thing in this case it isn't. My 1st is "100 Broken Windows" and "The Remote Part" is extremly close. This album features some of my most favourite Idlewild singles including "A Modern Way Of Letting Go" and "I Am What I Am Not". This whole album is good ebcause it shows a great variety of their music better than any of their others. Also The poem at the end of The Remote Part is one of most favourite pieces of music ever, probably the orignality of it that I love. This album is for people who are just getting into Idlewild, it will make you a fan in one listen trust me. For fans of good indie rock.
I also recommend going to see them live because the atmosphere is unlike any other and a fantastic experience. I've been to see them 3 times now and they are my favourite band.
