I just love these gloriously mad excursions into the highly creative and surreal minds of Julian, Noel and friends - I'm just about to watch the 3rd series and can't wait, so goodbye for now......

  Comedy Genius!
Review created: 02/06/07

If you haven't seen the Mighty Boosh yet then you should really check this out.
It really is the most original comedy I've seen in years and fully deserves the hype surrounding it!

Even though they've massively sold out with the tour and Noel Fieldings constant appearances in the tabloids, this DVD is what they do best.

Can't rate it hightly enough!

More Terry and June meet Mr Benn

This follow-up series, written by Julian Barrett and Noel Fielding, although based on the same central characters sees Howard and Vince living in a flat belonging to Naboo the Enigma, (ex Zooniverse kiosk attendant/Shaman played by Noel's little brother, Mike) and his familiar, Bollo, an elderly gorilla (ex Zooniverse exhibit, played by Dave Brown). Six episodes, and the original pilot, Tundra are packed in with as much good bonus material as Series 1, along with the short film 'Sweet' which has gained cult status of late. Series 3 should be on screens very soon, and I'm eagerly awaiting a third Boosh series to review. Hope it's as good as the first two! I'd also recommend The Mighty Boosh Live, which would probably be better for a more broadminded, adult audience!

Must see comedy- dvd quality not amazing
Review created: 04/03/07

This is the funniest thing you'll see all year. If you've seen the 1st series this is even better. The extras are great and there's loads of them including cut scenes, commentary on episodes by the cast, behind the scenes and more. The only thing i'd say is that the dvd sometimes jumps- this could just be my dvd player but i think it's because there's so much writing crammed on the 2 discs. I've got the first series as well and it also does this so it's just something you have to put up with if you want to watch the boosh. It's well worth it though.

The Mighty Boosh - Series 2
Review created: 01/03/07

The second series of this award winning series doesn't fail to be as magical and outlandish as the first. Chartering the lives of vince, howard, naboo and bollo outside the zooniverse it becomes aparent that the writers are certainly not a one trick pony and there is yet more great scripts and even better ad libs!
Go and buy this DVD, your life will then become complete.

  Crazy, crazy, crazy...

The Mighty Boosh are the most progressive comedy act of this decade. If you like strong plots, an understandable format and stand-up style jokes, you'll hate this. It is crazy, mad fun from start to finish. The more random Vince and Howard are the more fun is had by all.

Come with me on a journey through time and space!
Review created: 03/11/06

If you like The Mighty Boosh series 1 DVD, the TV show or the stage show, you'll love this. If you don't know The Mighty Boosh, try them out if you like Pythons, Pete & Dud, TWTWTW, Ricky Gervais, or similar left-field comedy. Be prepared for some silly songs at strange moments, Old Gregg and doors in heads.

  THE BOOSH IS INDEED MIGHTY

I bought it as a present for a friend as I own it myself and the offbeat sense of humour of Julien Barrett and Noel Fielding is absolutely class. If you don't like it first time, don't worry because neither did I, but I learnt to love it then adore it. If you want to see real comedy in action, check out Bob Fossil from Series 1 and his different personas in Series 2. One of the best things on TV and one of the most innovative comedies of all time. Get on the bandwagon right now.

Not as good as the first series - SHOCK
Review created: 02/08/06

Still fantastic though! It's difficult to imagine how this could top the first series of the Mighty Boosh. I liked the constraints of Vince & Howard working at the zoo, I liked the fact that Bob Fossil was in every episode, Bob (Rob Fulcher) is featured quite a bit during series 2 but in different character roles. Ideas seem to be stretched further and thinner in this series - but, hey - it sounds as if I'm complaining, the Mighty Boosh still rule as far as I'm concerned. Worth getting for the 'Milky Joe' episode alone.

  mighty boosh series 2

on first veiwing, this follow up to the first series didnt appear to be as enchanting or seductive. however, fortunately its definately "a grower". Its somewhat of a departure from series one, the zoo setting has been replaced by an apartment, and so defining characters such as bob fossil and dickson bainbridge no longer feature, however, do appear as other characters from time to time. along with this new environment there is less pre-adventure banter, over a cup of tea, between howard and vince, which i think could have grown a little tiresome if maintained through series'. The songs are wonderfully catchy and eclectic throughout. the new characters are brilliant, from unlucky in love disturbing ones like 'old gregg', who boasts a "man-gina", to the outrageous mexican womanising hippie rocker known as 'spider'. They're absurdity only matched by they're witticism and hilarity. I love this programme, love this new direction, and cant wait to see what whimsically witty material the third will bestow, but will undoubtedly captivate the ever-growing fan base of the boosh. Genius
