Communication OK with the seller. The CD is totally conform with descriptive. The only problem is the posting delays... One month to come to France from England !
replacing lost cd's i have brough this forits raw energy of teh lady of pain she give every song a gut wrenching emotion this is a real top class cd i must have for any ex indie
This is a fantastic debut album from a controversial (screwewd up??) artist. Full of passionate and heartfelt songs which move and inspire. Troy is a beautifully constructed song which starts out as a delicate love song and builds to a dramatic and angry end. Its imposible not to be moved by this album and Sineads' raw emotion comes through in every song - Stunning stuff
When this album first came out,in the 80's I just loved it to death & I bought EVERY Sinead O'Connor album. I went to see her at Hammersmith Odeon aswell. I just had to buy it on CD so that I could listen to it again, after all these years. Just brilliant. It is THE Sinead O'Connor album to have.
the Lion and the Cobra is one of those albums that I love so much I can't understand why everyone hasn't got it! Admittedly, part of it's appeal is tied to a time and a place personal to me and it was a bit of a slow burner.. but once I'd warmed to it I couldn't get enough of it so, years later bought the CD to replace the tape I already had. It's sound is melodically raw, bass-heavy and somewhat dark and it's essence feisty. The tunes are quite good for shouting along to if you feel like getting some (man-related!) aggression out. Mandinka of course is a classic but every tune is a winner. It's just too short!
