TRULY ONE TO SEE. DENIRO PLAYS HIS ROLE SO FANTASTICALLY. THIS FILM IS SO UNLIKE ANY OF HIS OTHERS, SO FOR THAT REASON AT LEAST, IT SHOULD BE SEEN. THIS IS DEFINATELY ONE FOR YOUR COLLECTION.

In "King Of Comedy" (1983), fraudulent stand-up comedian Rupert Pupkin will go to extraordinary lengths to fulfill his dreams. He is played tremendously by Robert De Niro, who seems to enjoy his role as on obsessed talentless freak.
It's low-profile, strange and quirky, and thoroughly entertaining. It's no "Taxi Driver," "Goodfellas" or "Casino." In fact, it bares no similarities what-so-ever with said pictures. And that's why it's a must-see.
