Kate Bush's first album, and to many (myself included) her best. Three hit singles, several other tracks which could have been, and only a couple of duffers. Includes "Wuthering Heights" - her iconic debut single and number 1 from the 1970s, with a superb guitar solo at the end (which you hardly ever get to hear on the radio!).
This album was part of my teenage years - I clearly remember spending hours in my bedroom singing along to it, knowing all the lyrics by heart. I sold my vinyl collection a number of years back. Out of the blue, parts of the songs from this album started playing through my mind recently, so I decided to buy the CD version. It turned out to be not just a trip down memory lane, as many of these tracks still sound as fresh and original as they did when Kate Bush blew a breath of fresh air through the world of pop music all those years ago. It still ranks in my top 10 of favourite albums ever!
