I like bob dylan, and i already have the freewheelin record and tape so i bought the c.d. so i can play it in the car and on my c.d. player. all the tracks are great nothing to dislike. Phil.
This is Dylan at his confident early 1960s best. At a time of the cold war at maybe its height, with the Cuban missile crisis very large in people's memory, here is Dylan with songs such as; Blowin' In The Wind, Masters Of Way, A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall and Talking World War 111 Blues.
There are softer songs too; Girlf From The North Country and Don't Think Twice It's Alright.
Having purchased this album back in the 60s in vinyl, I wanted the same on cd and am very pleased with my purchase. Its great to hear all the old favourites once more
This album encompassed all what Bob Dylan is all about:The Troubadour who travels accross America. I find him a poet,a singer & a revolutionary which views are as valid today as they where then: Just Timeless. Also I discovered a new track never heard Dylan singing it before:Corrina, corrina, a Joni Mittchel song I believe, here I found Dylan is tender:this version is so beautiful, you feel this is how it just came out of him:unabashed passion. it is in that preveledge & rare league such as Johnny Cash's song:sunday morning coming round, but remember bob dylan was not yet 22 years old!!!,what a promise.
