The Final Cut (DVD)

As I am not usually a fan of Robin Williams family movies I bought this one hoping to see his acting skills used in a much different role - I was not disappointed. The film itself was a good idea but lacked a deeper plot and there was no ending which is very frustrating. The saving grace was Robin Williams role as an oddball character who does the 'snipping' of peoples memories once they are dead for showing their relatives. It could have delved far deeper into the murky world of our 'self' and I think it would have been a far better film if there had been more plots as it was quite a simple single story film. Still we enjoyed the film and it was great to see Williams playing a different character to his set family movie roles. Just be warned that when it finishes you are left with an air of 'what happened next'!!!
