Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does great justice..rocommended dvd to have in your selection but all depends on your own personal views! great dvd and i will purchase more from ebay.

i decided to buy the product because i went to see it at the cinema and had it on dvd when it first came out and that got to scratched to play. there isnt anything i dislike about it. i love yhe story line and the basic fact that its your typical storyline of cars and beautiful girls.

love this film has gorgeous cars and men (vin deisel) actualy has a plot some good racing sceens end of film leaves it open for more films which they have made each one better than the last the new one is wkd cars are out of this world and so is the drifting well worth gettin this collection if ur a car lover

fast cars, hot cars, what a film for car lovers ! fantastic ! you will love it ! at the end they take an incredible (impossible) car jump from the harbour to the boat ! (o yes they land it! with cuts and bruisers!)

what a film its just awesome what more can i say i bought a copy a while ago and i must have watched it that many times it just didn't want me to watch it any more so i had to get another copy of this movie

You can't have not heard of "The Fast and the Furious", the movie has changed the face of youth car culture globally. What was previously an elite interest in modified cars can now be seen in every town where the movie has inspired car modifications from vinyl graphics to oversize spoilers.

This movie stars Paul Walker, a relatively unknown actor at the time, alongside hollywood big name Vin Diesel. Both appear great castings for the roles they fulfill, Diesel the sinister "bad guy" with troubled past vs Walker as the all American good guy playing the undercover cop.

The movie sees "Brian" (Walker) attempting to infiltrate the underground street racing scene, where Diesel's character rules the scene as the racer everybody wants to beat and never can. Unfamiliar with the in's and out's of the scene Brian is initially shunned by all until befriending Diesel.

Brian is undercover to foil a series of complex truck heists undertaken by skilled drivers where Diesel is the major suspect. As the movie pans out Brian seems no closer to solving the crimes as he sinks deeper into the racing scene he is supposedly policing. Resulting in a dramatic climax and happy ending.

The movie exhibits fantastic special effects and action throughout. Jerry Bruckheimer directing of course means the movie is well made and guaranteed entertainment. That aside it was shunned by critics who perhaps were looking for more than simple entertainment. The movie offers no "meaning of life" messages etc etc, but a good time can be had watching the action!

This special edition includes extras such as a rather poor documentary on "how" to modify cars, perhaps more accurately it's how to hand a car and $50,000 to a garage and let them do it all for you. That aside, it's well put together as you'd expect.

Sadly it spawned a sequel that probably only tarnishes the name of this exceptional movie, most likely why Diesel declined a role in the sequel!
