  Crazy teen horror.
Review created: 27/05/08(updated 27/05/08)

I liked this, and feel its been overlooked. Elijah wood is very good. I'd recommned this to anyone who enjoys a good teen/school/horror/ flick.
I think this was one of the very first films released o DVD before video. The film starts right off, rather having ad's or anti piracy stuff. There is a menu (of course) but no extras, shame as I'd like ot know some of the back ground.

  Fantastic Alien Movie
Review created: 18/05/08
by:

The film sets up the six central teenage characters who do not seem to have much in common, and then the science-fiction aspect is added, involving the fear that the faculty at Herrington High School are actually aliens who are quickly transforming everyone in the town. The six characters, as in "The Breakfast Club," can be easily labeled as a stereotype, but as they are developed, they become far more complex: Casey (Elijah Wood), the much picked upon nerd; Stokely (Clea DuVall), a goth outcast who hides behind the false facade of being a lesbian so everyone will avoid her; Zeke (Josh Hartnett), a drug dealer who turns out to be a science whiz; Stan (Shawn Hatosy), the star football quarterback who is considering quitting the team to concentrate more on academics; Delilah (Jordanna Brewster), the popular cheerleader and newspaper journalist; and Marybeth (Laura Harris), the sweet 'n southern new girl in town. Although the characters are only slightly connected (i.e. Casey is Delilah's photojournalist assistant; Marybeth tries to become buddies with Stokely, since they both don't have friends, etc.), when they all begin to suspect the teachers due to some grotesque and strange occurrences, the only people they can count on for help is each other, even though they aren't really even sure if they can trust one another.

  Invasion Ohio!
Review created: 16/06/07

A small town in Ohio is visited by alien lifeforms, who choose the local highschool as it's base of invasion - starting with the teaching faculty. It is up to a small band of students (the geek, the jock, the cheerleader, the bad lad etc) to combat the threat and rescue the school, the town and maybe the world from complete disaster!

An update and rethink of 'Invasion Of The Body Snatcher' by Scream writer Kevin Williamson and directed with some flair by Robert Rodriguez. An attractive young cast (most of whom have gone onto bigger things) alongside a stong cast of familiar character actors help this film raise among the usual dross. As you can probably tell, i love this film - it was one of the first DVD's i ever bought and must have now watched it into double figures - a worthy purchase - buy it if you can!

This 1998 film from Robert Rodriguez pleasantly surprised me. I wasexpecting a poor teen movie, yet I was met with an excellent piece ofcinematic prowess. I liked it when Casey fluttered his eyelids, and alsowhen he was made infertile. It was touching stuff. This film did not crashand burn at the cinema, Casey. It performed like one of the greatSigourney Weaver's works. You might even say that Elijah Wood is on theway to becoming Sigourney Weaver. The actors in "The Faculty"realistically portray what it would be like to have a school taken over byaliens. The suspense was titillating, especially at the showdown. Thecharacter of Delilah struck me as somewhat bi-polar, and Stokely wasslightly beastly, but nevertheless I enjoyed it. If you don't enjoy it,perhaps you should get an eye dog.
