Atten-hut! Twelve jailbirds will earn their freedom... if they survive a suicide mission against the Nazi brass. Tough-as-nails Lee Marvin leads a nothing-to-lose convict squad in this all-time action trendsetter.

sooo exciting - great classic! great actors (Charles Bronson, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, John Cassavetes etc... - - Lee Marvin is so cool! very good story!

A classic war movieThis is one for the top one hundred movies; they don’t make them like this anymore. The acting in some places is a bit woolly but this is of set by the cast who were all at their best in this one with humour and action.
The war collection is history of warfare seen through the eyes of the public and Hollywood it does lean very much to the American view but even it is good entertainment and deserves to be in the top 100 Best War Movies collection.

A wonderful world war 2 action thriller, well cast, good plot with an unexpected heartwarnming side to this film that gives depth to the gradually mounting tension and rivetting climax. Make sure you have time to watch it all in one go as I couldnt have switched it off once started. Excellent
