) 
i bought this film recently because i had just finished the book. usually i find films a bit dissapointing compared to the book that they were based on but this film was very good. Some of the characters were altered and some were missed out altogether such as melony. however, i think its a good story and i think it was well cast and i enjoyed watching it.

) I bought this as I have read other books by John Irving. He is a brilliant writer which is never quite as good when you see the film version. BUT it is a brilliant film. Very moving story. Read the books.

) Hi, I have purchased this on behalf of my daughter who saw it some time ago but hasn't been able to get it to own. According to her words it's a great film and she can't wait to watch it again. She also said that the acting is superb. So very happy to own it. Regards, Julie x

) I read the book and wanted to see how it turned out on film. The author wrote the screenplay and interestingly took out 15 years to make it work better on film.
Did like the acting

This is an excellent film. It isn't the usual everything that happens is nice and unreal. It is funny at times but tinged with sadness and is a sure tear-jerker.
It is excellently filmed and very easy to get into the storyline. The characters are played very well and it feels very realistic.
