I bought this cd as i had just been to see rod stewarts "Tonight the night" show at the theatre. ( Highly reccommended show) And realised that i do not own a single cd of rods i chose this one. Its fantastic with all the well known tunes that we all know. 10/10.
I like Rod Stewart and had this on tape, but I wore it out so when it came to replacing it I decided that CD was the way to go. Excellent value for money, and this really is the very best of Rod.
i bought this c.d. for my son,he grew up hearing rod stewart and asked me for one, well he was not getting any of mine,so i got him his own,he can now play it in his car anytime.
the very best and im not a stewart fan but i love this album this is the second iv bought it as the first one wore out . id highly recommend this album. love him or hate him this is a bloody good album
ITS A GREAT ALBUM AS ANY OF RODS FANS WOULD AGREE. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR SONG FOR A WHILE AND FOUND IT ON THIS ALBUM WHAT MORE CAN A GIRL ASK FOR ALL OF HER TEENAGE YEARS JUST ROLLED BACK AS I LISTEN TO THESE SONGS GREAT.
I bought this CD for my husband, well he is getting on a bit and thought he would like something a bit oldy wordly(thats my opinion). Anyway its me that listens to it all the time i really love his voice, soo husky I would definately buy more from this artist.
i heard him on the radio on a hot day and thought i have seen him on many occasions in Glasgow but i don't have much of his stuff on cd. sadly its mostly vinyl, so i went to hmv saw the price of rod and went back to the pc, on e bay and got big rod for a fraction of the price .its a must have cd .legend
If you want great recordings of Rod's best hits - this is it - apparently I have to write at least 100 characters so this is a load of old waffle to comply with yet another stupid ebay rule
Rod is still a great live act - we've seen him a couple of times over the last 18 months - but for me his best recording days were in the 1960s and 1970s.
This CD has all the stuff you'll associate with Rod on it, and is a great CD for the car or for a party.
If you want to check out some of Rod's 1960s material, look for Steampacket - the first supergroup and Jeff Beck's Truth. Rod teamed up with Long John Baldry and others in Steampacket, a short lived group in around 1966 before joining up with Ron Wood in the Jeff Beck group. Truth was re-issued with bonus tracks a couple of years ago and both of these CDs have some great early Rod on them.
For now though, buy this Best of CD and have some fun.
