I had heard the track ANGEL many times on satalite tv and traced the album it came off.
I purchased the first one I could that day, and have listened to the whole album frequently. I take it in the car with me as well as listening to it in the house.
I have put others of her CD's on my Christmas "wish list". A very talented lady and I am sure I will still be listening to this for many years to come.
The thing that first introduced me to Sarah McLachlan's music was hearing 'Angel'- so simply constructed, so beautifully sung . The rest of the album does not disappoint - Starts strongly with the magnificent "Building a Mystery" (definitely one of my Desert Island choices), a perfect blend of voice and music. Normally I wouldn't like the 'sugary' sentiments of "I Love You" but, in the context of the album as a whole, it fits. Then another Desert Island choice "Sweet Surrender" . . . and so on. The only track that's a bit of a disappointment is the final 'filler'track but by that time you'd forgive her if she'd recorded her version of "The Wheels on The Bus Go Round & Round" !! I rate this as her best album. Go for it. I've heard criticism that her albums are 'over-produced' but when results are as good as this I don't care.
