I ENJOYED ALL THE STAR WARS FILMS ,BUT I COULDT GET THEM AT THE PRICE IN THE SHOPS HERE IN INVERNESS SO I GOT THEM ON EBAY GREAT PRICES.LONG MAY EBAY REIGN ALL THE BEST.

This limited edition is worth the money, it is the only way you can get your hands on the DVD version of the original theatrical movie. What more can be said!

Description
A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away... The Jedi Knights have been exterminated and the Empire rules the galaxy with an iron fist. A small group of Rebels have dared to fight back by stealing the secret plans to the Empire's mightiest weapon, the Death Star battle station. The Emperor's most trusted servant, Darth Vader, must find the plans, and locate the hidden Rebel base. Princess Leia, a captive Rebel leader, sends out a distress signal that is intercepted by a simple farm boy, Luke Skywalker. Seizing his destiny, Luke takes up the challenge to rescue the princess and help the Rebellion overthrow the Empire, along with such unforgettable allies as the wise Obi-Wan Kenobi, the cocky Han Solo, the loyal Chewbacca, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO.

For those of you like myself who prefer the original release of "A New Hope" this dvd with the quality extras is worth every penny. Although i liked most of the new footage in Empire and Jedi i didn't dig it in this one. The picture and sound may not be as good as the "new" versions but this adds to the whole feel of the film for me.
Find a cheap and reliable seller like i did and you are laughing.

Ok, so i am going to be biased with this film as i remember going to see this when it was first on the Cinema when i was a kid. This is the best film ever in the whole series in my opinion, the film that started the star wars craze! Great special effects-for its time, interesting storyline and really well thought out characters. Excellent cast, the amazing Alec Guiness who was a great actor anyway, played the part of Obi-Wan Kenobi like it was written specially for him, as he was so convincing in his role of the jedi who took luke under his wing, with his jedi training. The unknown Mark Hamill plays Luke, Harrison Ford plays Han Solo who previously starred in "American Graffiti" and Carrie Fisher is Princess Leia, the Rebel Leader who they all get roped into trying to rescue from the clutches of Darth Vader the baddie in the film. Also, Cannot leave out C3P0, R2D2 and Chewie the wookie, which when your a kid just adds to the appeal of the film. You even get Peter Cushing thrown in too!
