Begun the Clone War has .............. !!!!!
Review created: 10/09/07
5 of 8 people found this review helpful.

The disappointment of Star Wars Episode 1 'The Phantom Menace' is swept aside with a more focussed sequel ...... Jar Jar's screen time is cut, mini Jake Lloyd has been replaced by a more convincing Hayden Christenson and the familiarity of the Original Trilogy galaxy returns with bounty hunters, clones and conflict !!!!!!

The master/apprentice storyline, the secret love affair and the seeds of the Empire being sown give this film a dramatic pace ....... as Anakin steps closer to the Darkside you just can't wait to follow it up with another viewing of the final
prequel ..... Revenge of the Sith !!!!!!!!!!!!

  Its the attention to detail...
Review created: 31/10/05
4 of 6 people found this review helpful.

as i said...its the attention to poignant detail that make this so good! There are many parts of this film that if you are a Star Wars fan (like me), you just cannot miss! Much of it you expect to be good (the lightsaber battles for instance...especially Yoda's). But the image burned into my mind...picture a small boy...moments after the heat and terror of battle...crouching down...and picking up a helmet...containing the severed head of his father...severed by the Jedi. that moment was priceless! its moments like these that make Mr Lucas and his crew geniuses in my book. If you haven't seen this yet - Watch it!not because its a Star Wars movie...but because it is the prelude to the pinnacle of Mr Lucas's lifes work!

The Free iPhone Guide

To get yourself a free iPhone all you have to do is follow the 3 easy steps:

Step 1 : Sign up for a free iPhone
Sign up at the link below to get your free iPhone. We recommend this free iPhone site because it's been TRIED and TESTED to work.

http://gifts.kudosnetwork.co.uk/?ref=172 (copy and paste into browser)

You can choose other prizes like free consoles from this site too! Make sure you use a real email address. Use your real details when you sign up so that the company knows where to send your iPhone! Remember that they have been proven legitimate, so will send you your free iPhone if you do everything legitimately!

Step 2 : Try an advertiser's offer
Basically all you need to do in this step is complete one of the offers, this is where the freebie site make their money, if you complete an offer then the freebie site will recieve commission for it. So if you complete Coral which will only cost you £5 to complete, the freebie site gets £25 from Coral. The two best offers are Lovefilm Free DVD rental (rent two DVD's, keep them for about 2 days, send them back and then cancel the trial) and Coral (bet £5 on a sport). I would reccommend you do Coral as it credits in an hour and is really simple to do, Lovefilm however can become complicated and takes up to 2 weeks to credit! You can also try one of the other offers, most are gambling offers. Don't skip this step! You must complete this step to get your free iPhone!

Step 3 : Refer some friends
This part is a lot easier than it seems, especially now with free iPhone sites getting so popular. There's lots of people online who want a free iPhone too, so start referring them! You only need to get a few signups before you'll be finished. You can ask your friends or your online buddies. I already got a free PS3, Wii, and XBOX Elite without even having to ask my friends for help - there's lots of people online who want a free iPhone like you! One of the easiest ways to get a referral is to do a favour for a friend and ask them to sign up in return. That way, you both can get a free iPhone!

Basic rules
Don't break these rules! This is the only reason that you won't get your free iPhone, so make sure you follow these rules!

- One account per household - don't use a public computer to sign up!
- Use real information - this is a proven legitimate site and they will not give out your information.
- Only complete each offer once! You cannot complete the same offer again, even for different freebies.
- Don't try to cheat the system. This site has been proven legitimate, and they will catch you if you try to cheat. If you do everything legitimately, by following this guide, you will get a free iPhone!

Thats all, just follow my guide and you will have your free iPhone in no time.

I bought this for my six year old son to complete his Star Wars film collection. Personally I feel it is the weakest of the 'new' films with too heavy reliance on CGI, and some of the acting performances being a little weak. Also the story focuses on the political side of the story which can be difficult for youngsters to grasp. On the positive side the effects are excellent & the battle scenes thrilling. I would definitely recommend the film to any Star Wars fans.

Star Wars - Episode 2 - Attack Of The Clones (DVD 2004)
Review created: 10/06/08
by:

My 7 year old son loves Star Wars and wanted the first episodes. I did tell him that these weren't the first ones, 4, 5 and 6 were, but he just looked at me as though I was daft :) The films have linked into the original stories really well and to my son the story is seamless. May the force be with you :)

  Mostly entertaining
Review created: 06/06/08

If you listen to some fans of the original Star Wars trilogy, the new one is crap. This is, I've found out, true only with the Phantom Menace, which was very poorly directed and edited piece of film.

Attack of the Clones in the other hand is in comparison a superior achievement from PM. But it does contain couple of unnecessary segments, which drag the speed of the film down. And some of the acting is, even in the standard of the Star Wars, pretty horrible. But happily all those under achievers are not in any important roles and seasoned actors like Christopher Lee (Count Dooku) do deliver what you expect of them. others deserving nomination here are Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu and Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine.

So, the plot. Obi Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) are told to watch over senator Padame (Natalie Portman) because of assassination attempts towards her life. This soon leads in Obi in discovery of secretly manufactured clone army. Who is behind all this? Will Padame and Anakin fall in love? When does Anakin fall in to the dark side? Will he become a Jedi before all this? Some of these questions are partly answered in AOTC, but some are left waiting for the third installment of the new trilogy.

But as said, this is much better film than Phantom Menace. It's not best film in the Star Wars saga, but in my opinion it does deliver. It's mostly fun to watch, action sequences are good, special effects are even better and despise some bad acting and some pretty horrible dialogs, it wasn't pain in the back side to watch.

So, my advise: don't listen to roaring Star Wars fans who claim this movie to be one of the worst things ever and don't listen to those, who claim this one to be best thing since sliced bread.

Attack of the Clones is above average, but not the greatest thing ever either.

Or....Star Wars: Attack of the CGI
Review created: 04/04/08
by:

This is where George Lucas pays the loyal Star Wars viewer back for shafting us over The Phantom Menace. Thank You, George!

I love 'AOTC', despite the heavy, heavy use of CGI - it is largely spot-on. The actors (thankfully) settled into their roles better and quicker than in Episode I and this means one can get past new-entrant Hayden Christiansen's fairly wooden Anakin Skywalker. The well assured Ewan MacGregor excels as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Samuel L. Jackson oozes class as Mace Windu, Ian McDiarmid effortlessly takes Palpatine on his journey and the lovely Natalie Portman does far better as Senator Amidala. One is even treated to Jimmy Smits as the legendary Bail Organa (MID from the original trilogy) and two newcomer in Temuera Morrison, who plays Jango Fett (the father of Boba Fett from the Original Trilogy) as well as Christopher Lee as Palpatine's new side-kick.

All of the above leads to a surprisingly well-balanced storyline that sees the Republic descend inexorably toward it's eventual demise in favour of the First Galactic Empire. The film also quite neatly fills in a few blanks referred to but not tremendously well explained in Episodes IV-VI, such as the "Clone Wars" and how Anakin Skywalker begins on the path toward the Dark Side and his eventual fate as Darth Vader.

My one disappointment is not - perhaps as is for many - the handling of the whole Skywalker/Amidala union and love interest thing, which I happen to believe was not badly done and is of course necessary, but is in one of the worst uses of CGI since [I can hardly bring myself to speak it's name] Jar Jar Binks in the use of a curious alien creature on which Anakin takes a 'ride' and falls from...this is easily the worst feature of the film and if I had a choice I'd chop it in favour of something less flashy.

But...this disappointment does nothing to temper my overall delight at this film, and I oscillate between installing this as second-best to Episode III in the whole series, sometimes preferring Episode V (I know that won't endear me to many who still believe that Ep V is best, but I don't care). It is well paced and gets through a decent chunk of the essential, all the while treating the viewer to some great visuals.

We're even treated to the now-CGI Jedi Uber-Master Yoda wielding a lightsaber for the first time, and it's well worth the wait...

Bounty Hunters - Clone Troopers - Jedi Enough Said
Review created: 30/03/08

Lucas has pondered over his deliverance of episode 1 and has bought us a much better example of STAR WARS. Jar Jar's screen time has been slashed (their is a jedi master who listens to our prayers) Hayden Christenson plays a more convincing Anakin skywalker on his path to the dark side.

Information is given throughout the story line to explain Boba's hate of the Jedi, the formation of a clone army and the relationship between palpatine and anakin grows stronger.

Throw in Christopher lee with a brilliant performance as count dooku and an amazing piece of fotage as yoda battles his old padwan ! A great film that leads nicely into the best of the new star wars films revenge of the sith !!!!

I bought this for my son's 6th birthday, as he already had episodes 4,5,6 and 1. My son loved it and I was so glad that I chose this for him. There was lots of action to keep a 6 year old amused, and spark his imagination.
personally When I listen to the voice of Anakin and Darth Vader, I think they couldn't be further apart, but hey! I'm just nit picking. I really enjoyed the film too.
