Must see episodes in Voyager Season 5 include 'Drone', in which Seven of Nine raises her 'offspring', a Borg drone from the 29th century only to see him destroyed.
Season 5 also includes the feature-length 'Dark Frontier' in which Seven is captured and returned to the Borg Queen; 'Someone To Watch Over Me' in which the Doctor discovers he has a major crush on a certain female crew member and 'Equinox' in which a Starfleet captain and his crew are found to have been killing aliens in a cynical attempt to gain the power needed to return home...

Season 5 sees the best season for character development. There are promotions, de-motions, break-ups and make-ups, weddings and datings and then the Borg.
Also in this season Voyager receives the ‘Delta-Flyer’. A Borg come Starfleet advanced shuttle-craft. The special effects in this season are a sheer delight. Season 5 is an obvious turning point in the break through of special effects. Voyager from the start has been much loved for its set designs and cgi effects and you can certainly tell they have been stepped up from this season onwards. Voyager looks ever-so more stunning and is presented in a lot more detail.
Series highlight include: ‘Drone’ – a Borg Drone is born on Voyager and helps them get out of some tight spots. ‘In the Flesh’ – Voyager finds a Starfleet Academy in the delta quadrant but all is not as it appears to be. ‘Dark Frontier’ – Seven retuns to the collective and deals with the devil aka the Borg Queen. ‘Someone to Watch over me’ – a humorous episode which sees Seven learning how to date and the Dr falling in Love – again.
