Sony PlayStation 2 Slimline Console

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend. We're short of money and I knew I could never afford to buy a new one, or a new PS3, so I looked on ebay to see what was available.

I got this PS2 Slimline console for 78 pounds, complete with two memory cards, 13 games and all accessories.

It came the next day and was exactly as described and in perfect working order. If it had been in the original box I would have thought it brand new!

My boyfriend was exstatic and we've hardly spoken since, as he is plugged into this thing most of the time now and I have been relegated to the bedroom to watch my tv programmes.

So, if you want to spend more time with your other half, I don't recommend you buy one, but all jokes aside, my boyfriend is really happy and so I'm happy.....plus I can now watch Emerdale, Corrie and Eastenders without critism :-))

Ive been after a PS2 for a while but didn't have that much to spend. I feel I got a right bargain, plus it was the slimline version, EVEN BETTER, the item was in excellent condition and has been played with non stop by my children and I. The item description was spot on, the seller had fantastic comms and was very quick to deliver. This was one of the first items I had ever bought on eBay and its safe to say that due to this sale I have bought again and again. On a whole it was a great experience and I received a quality product at a cheap price from a very recommended seller. I am very happy indeed, so much so I have not got a bad word to say.....Bring on the bargains!!!!

The Playstation 2 ( Ps2 ) realy does have cool Graphics and sounds, The controll Pads are Fantastic good Handling and Controll over the game.

I would Recommend ( BLACK ) ps2 Game This Game Has been officialy Rated 10/10.

Anyway if you have not got enough cash for Ps3 Then why not Buy Ps2 is Cheaper.

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 - 8/10 ( People think is better than Street fighter alpha 3
but This is Not true,There are Very Small amount of Moves each Character can do ) But is Very Entertaining !

BLACK - officialy rated 10/10 ( Absolutely there is no words to Describe that game, true War Realistic game )

CAPCOM VS SNK 2 - ( Very Cool game, This Game is For Advanced Players. )

I like the PS2 because I think it is good value for money. Compared to the more expensive consoles E.G. PS3 which is about £300. Where as a new PS2 can be picked up for about £90. Or a used one for about £50.
I bought it because it is one of the best games consoles around for the money. It has a strong database of games, hundreds of games are available. It also backward compatible with playstation 1 games giving you even more choice of games. Upto four people can play on it with an addon adaptor. So the whole family can play. From role playing games to Quiz games, there is something for everyone.

most of the games are not in working order.i pad more den normal because of 10 games but 7 of thes games are not working with this ps2

the fact that it eas quick delivery and postage costs were the plus points. unfortunately i have a problem with the ps2 itself contacted the seller as i am having problems with disc not reading so cannot play games. asked seller for ideas why not working. seller only replied that 1 game was not working but ps2 ok so i may have bought damaged goods disgruntled customer

The US - always getting games from Japan that never see the light of day in the UK. Being a little jealous of the gamers in the US I had always wanted to buy an NTSC compatible console. The reason why I opted for a PS2 was because there are a lot of games made for the PS2 and it is backward compatible. And unlike the GameCube, where you could buy a regional overdrive disk to play imported games without shipping the console, the PS2 would have been a little harder. So an NTSC PS2 it was, with a big collection of games to choose from, for both the PS2 and PlayStation, now open to me to import, I would not easily get bored anythime soon. So a good investment if you would want to have access to a bigger selection of games, and without chipping your home console, and a bonus is that if you have a PAL console already, then the leads can be used for the NTSC console without any problems!

The reason why I didn't opt for a PS3 was because I had heard people have had problems with backwards compatibility, and the thought of paying quite a bit more for a PS3 just to play games from the PlayStation and PS2 era was a little silly. I can still see myself playing on my NTSC console in three years time, which is well worth the money I've spent.

There's always a cost with gaming, but even importing games from the US can be cheaper than buying in the UK (but still varying from game to game and supplier/delivery costs), so this should not put you off.

Now, to open an even BIGGER selection of games, I would need a Japanese console, a few lessons in Japanese, and a Japanese dictionary...

We bought as a replacement item as my sons had broken. The item can be used in conjunction with all his other ps2 items. The item was exactly as described and even came with some games that he had not already got. This item was good value for money, clean and in full working order.

needed a cleaning disc running through to stop it freezing but other than that, absolutely thrilled with it.

Because a negative review is written, I do not expect a personal e-mail commenting on my experience of buying form this person. Not what is expected at all. I hope this puts an end to it.

Smart and much more compact than the standard version, much cheaper than the PS3, good substitute if on a budget, but would still say it was worth upgrading to the PS3!

Excellent toy to spend those lonely evenings, or just an excuse to invite friends over to play some singstar, buzz or even eye toy! I already had a PS2, but I switched to the slim version, as it is so small with all the features of the old one! It fits much better anywhere, and its one less weight when moving house! Highly recommend it if you want to get a video game console and don't have the money for a PS3 or XBOX360. Another great detail is that it reads DVDs as well as any DVD player.
I must leave a final remark in terms of resistance. The slim version seems way more fragile than the older version. The DVD compartment on the old version is quite resistant, and it opens and closes accessing a button, while the slim opens via a button, but it's closed by pressing with the hand, which in my opinion is a bit dangerous if handled by children (dangerous for the PS2, not the kid!).

The product was well packaged and delivered really fast which we really appreciated as it was meant for a present. But unfortunately the sender forgot to mention that the computer doesn't like reading games that ave got the slightest and fewest of scratches, which was disapointed. As you can appreciated this can be expected from a second hand idem.

I was very happy to see this arrive. With the new PS3 out all the PS2's are being sold for good prices with games included. The item I bought had exactly what I wanted and was sent to be in very good condition. I would recommend if you need a console that has a lot of games you buy a PS2 in good condition with all the games with it. I did and I love it!

We decided to purchase a used PS2 for our sons 9th birthday . The intention was to take this to our holiday home in Spain which would then allow him to enjoy his PS in Spain as well as in the UK and to move games between the two homes.

Unfortunately the PS2 unit arrived with only one of the eight retaining scews which hold the unit and case together in place, (perhaps it had been poorly repaired at some time) and it did not funtion at all. We suspect that it may have been damaged in transit as the internal component parts would not have been held in place during transportation.

We had such dissapointment on the day(his birthday) in Spain when it was opened and the unit did not operate.

We went to media mart the same day and puchased a new unit.

The purchase was only really saved by the 10 games which were included in the package. As nine of them functioned it was worth the £60.00 overall purchase price as it would have cost us at least £90.00 pounds for the games even if purchased as used in a store.

Moral of the story for us was, great way to puchase games at a reasonable price, but wont touch electronic goods purchases via Ebay again.

i love that its slimline unlike old chunky fat model this will fit into most places easily and looks nice. i bought it with buzz which is a great group game for all and u can buy many other games for this (kids and adults alike)
also singstar which is karaoke in ur own home with fantastic songs and videos this also have loads more songs u can purchase, a must for any party.
overall this is a great item and is lots of fun graphics not as good as xbox or ps3 but for your money its great value. Also has more games available at reasonable prices than the xbox and ps3
