Sony PlayStation® 2 Console

It's the quality games and excellent joypad that makes PlayStation 2 really good. Fortunately the PS2 has kept the same Joypad (+ all analogue instead of digital buttons!) and updates of our favourite games such as FIFA and Grand Turismo.

Graphically its very much better in every respect to the old one, having 32 Mb of RAM, a 128-bit running at 300 MHz and a 150 MHz Sony graphics chip that can do about 66 million polygon per second.

The PlayStation 2 is NOT as fast as a PC tested against a GeForce 2 Ultra and AMD 1.4 GHz on the first person shooter Red Faction.

Grand Turismo looks and plays even better. The FIFA game too looks good, but again the PC version looks graphically better which brings the PlayStation 2 into perspective. Other footy games include 'This is Football' which is graphically better but Pro Evolution Soccer exceeds in game play. PES4 is the new version coming out and is definitely the leading football game around at the moment - it is certainly my choice to buy.

The PS2 also plays DVD films and is well worth the original £200 asking price if you don't already own a standard DVD player.

For 3 years after its release, it was THE console to buy. But along came Microsoft's first console, the Xbox, which looked like the fastest and best quality console to come out. Then came Nintendo's new console the GameCube which has also changed many people's perspective on what to buy.

A silver version came out earlier in the year, also a new 'slim' PS2 which is 75% smaller (now available in black or silver), will be available before Christmas. The PS3 will be available for purchase around mid to late 2006.

All 3 consoles are very good, but its the quality and range of games available that makes the PlayStation 2 my choice of console. If you love your sports, and are prepared to pay the extra then this console is for you!

This item was contained everything you would need to get started, games, memory cards, controllers, leads and cables as well as the more important console.

I decided to buy this item as a gift for my son because he kept taking my console and not returning it willingly. And because his Xbox360 wasn't working we bought this item for him. It was delivered very quickly and was very well packaged, it was extremely well described and was a great price.

Sony PlayStation 2 Console and dancemat and a lot of games this was a good buy and I am very pleased with it and for the price that I paid for it. I would buy off this person again and recommend them to others because it was hassell free and very quick delivery it came the day after I paid for it.

i brought this item has me and my kids have one to share and i wanted one for my self the item was recieved very quickly and was so happy that i bidded and won this item it was in excellent condition and couldnt of got a better deal anywhere else for the price i payed for it everything i was told i would get with the item was all at a brillient and working order i was over the moon with it.

item is good, a little dated but serves it's purpose. We need it for singstar and Buzz. seller was exactly in his description.

I bought this PS2 to upgrade from a PS1 i have had for years. I have had great fun with it staying up till 3.00am. The graphics are great sound is very good, Sometimes it is almost like you are there. There is also no shortage of different games to buy and all are very good quality

A really excellent item that can be educational or fun when used as a gaming toy but really useful as a DVD & CD player. The downside is it is a little noisy and is large compare to the slim-down version. Great value for money!

Unfortunately I had previously won another PS2 for my son and it didnt work, so I had to send it back. He has ADHD and frequently damages things, which is why I buy 2nd hand from ebay and obviously he is happy with the console and the games more or less did for all 3 of my children.

the playstation console and games are in great condition i hope to have a great deal pleasure playing the games for a long time.

Cheap and easily to use, a lot use even you can make it your dvd player.You can find it accessories almost every store in the city.

Hi, thank you Sony for this brilliant invention.
I originally had a ps1 for my son, who has Asbergers syndrome (part of the autistic spectrum). His attention span was very poor until I discovered his love of ps games. He will sit for hours and is phenominal at these games. After almost a year his attention span had improved in other areas as a result of these mind boggling games. He will now sit still for meals and actualy does his homework!.
The playstation two that I recently purchased was to supplement the ps1 and allow him to continue to enjoy more recent games.
The end result has changed my son's condition so dramatically that his lifestyle has improved beyond beleif.
I beleive that these games must stimulate parts of the brain that are dormant in autistic children.
His vocabulary has improved.
He can dress himself without assistance.
He is so much calmer than ever before.

So thank you Sony for the playstation miracle.

The PS2 was good working order with lots of extras. The item was very slow to be dispached. I email twice to find out what was happening but no reply. The PS2 turned up nearly 3 weeks later. Iam happy with everthing i recived.

play station is in good condition,games working fine, I always wanted play station and this one was great value for money so I bought it.

It works and my kid loved it. Nothing better than that. The seller was honest.

The playstantion wasn't broken. It makes already some noise, but it is understandable because it has quite a few years. When I open the box it smel cigars but the seller must be a smoker.

Regarding the Joystick it works, even if sometimes it stuks a bit.

ps2 has great game titles on this console i love it becasue its so easy and small unlike the xbox.! also i decided to buy this becasue i have games from my other console which i broke when moving house.

This is still easily the best games console around for the money. ok the wii and the ps3 are brilliant machines but the price tags are still very high. For around £50 you can get a really good ps2 and the games are very cheap too. EXCELLENT.
