I really like this camera. It is so easy to use in the auto point and click mode and the video picture results were outstanding considering the cost of the camera. It is a shame that Sony couldn't have supplied the firewire cable but these are pretty cheap now anyway. I have noticed that quite a few of these cameras can be found with a crack in the casing next to the hot shoe. This is not a crack as in split but presumably where the camera has been knocked. The software supplied is rubbish but if you have a PC and a DVD writer then Nero Startsmart is pretty good for capturing and editing the resulting video but make sure you buy a 4 to 6 firewire cable. You can stream the video to your PC using the USB cable but this has to be done by the Sony software and it is done in ten minute intervals and each ten minute file is huge. The USB cable is really meant to be used when you are downloading still photos.
But apart from that I think this is a great little first time user camera.

This product was faulty on the touch screen panel which was not working basically. I have returned this item to the seller and , I am waiting for my refund.

What a great little camcorder!! I was looking for a 3ccd camcorder as I was told that the information transfer to a pc would be very fast. This camera however suits my needs just fine. I would reccomend getting decent video editing software though (such as pinacle) and this camera seems to work excellently with it.
Over all I am left with DVD's of family outings, birthdays etc which are fantastic quality.

VISTA X64 issues

I have just bought this camera off ebay.
So far I have not managed to get any drivers to load.
Sony do not do VISTA 64 bit drivers so its not working at this moment in time.I have only had the camera 2 hours and will update as soon as they can be found.
The drivers supplied on the disk wont work.

I have been on every webpage and forum to see if I can get the camcorder to work via USB. Its a NO.

I liked the size of the item,the fact that it was so light, and it's price.
What I didn't rate about it, was that it didn't do as much as i thought it might do, (but we all know what thought did) and I should have looked into it more closley. I simply bought it because my old camera died on me, and it was time to upgrade anyway. They say the best things come in small packages, well they did in this case, I now have a mini dvd camera that fits the palm of my hand at a price that fit my pocket. Nice one ebay.

the best things i like about the SONY Cam because there is more stuff i havnt had on my cam like so there is no dislikes about it and why i brought it was because i do night time investigators like so thanks for the camera sorry for being to late

This camera is great. touch screen menus, "easy" mode, very clear picture, compact & light. I have filmed a couple of weddings with it and it gave superb results.
