The K810i is from the same family as the popular Sony Ericsson K800i which is also a camera focused handset & both handsets have been designed by Sony Ericsson with the digital camera user in mind.
The Sony Ericsson K810i comes with a large screen which provides up to 262,144 colours for the user to enjoy & with a 240 x 320 screen resolution. The phone comes with an attractive keypad which comes with small circular metal effect keys which are easy to use. The K810i is a 3G mobile phone which has been designed with the highest quality camera features & will be enjoyed by its user.
This phone is the best phone ever. All the features you could want, amazing camera another great sony phone. And it is much better than the k800i believe me!!!
Although i have personally had a sony erricson before I found the menus pretty user friendly. The directional button takes a little getting used to, as rather than pressing a direction i keep pressing it down so it selects instead! the buttons are quite small and the top ones are close together, although this has not caused me any problems. I do tend to keep pressing the internet shortcut button instead of the left select, that is just because in all my previous phones thats where the left select is, i will hopefully get used to it, it is rather annoying! The camera is pretty good as far as phone cameras go.
Telephone features: 3G, 3 band, 103g, 17mm thick. All the features of an advanced smart telephone. Very easy to use. Reasonable sized screen. Camera. Excellent. 3.2Mp and autofous make it very easy to use and produces excellent photos for its size. Also has a xenon flash; not the usuaul low powered flash of most camera-phones. Music player and radio. Again, easy to use and produces excellet sound quality especially if compbined with Sony Ericsson speakers. This telephone is a Which? Best Buy andrightly so.
I'm really enjoying this phone, loads of extra's,really easy to use,fab camera, great sound from speakers, classic look and fantastic battery life, great value for money.
very good phone and very easy to use, fits neatly in the pocket unlike some of these monster of phones on the market these days, if you buy this phone then you wont be dissappointed
1. Camera - Takes excellent pictures, day or night. 2. Battery life - Lasts quite long on one full charge.
Bad bits:
1. No Voip (Voice-over-IP) - No free skype calling. 2. Joystick is fiddly and sometimes non-responsive 3. Menu - Could have had a more efficient menu system, too many clicks to access things AND the menu system is quite slow.
4. Software is almost identical to the K800, which means nothing new here in terms of software, applications, features etc (Same with all sony ericsson phones really)
5. Texting - Difficult to text, the buttons are really fiddly to use.
Conclusion
There is nothing new here apart from the handset design. This phone should have had VOIP so you can use skype and call skype users for free. The buttons should have been more responsive and the menus should be more efficient. Sony Ericsson are very very clever, they just design a new handset and keep the software the same. The phone is only good for its camera and making calls (as the battery life is really good). There is nothing new here, its just a K800 which looks a bit better in style. Not really a good phone at all in my opinion.
Really good phone and shipped of fast. needed new phone as old one was breakin g.jbfevidnmjvdmvkdkbmkmbkmdkmbkdkbmdkmbvmmbdkmmdkmbmkmk just to waste up characters as i cant think of anything else 2 say. lol jvdjnvjdksdknvsnjdfn
The first thing that took me about the K810i was terrible quality of assembly and the cheap, nasty look. It looks like SE have tried to make a 'fancy' looking K800 to give it a bit more life and in doing so constructed a pretty tacky looking phone.
This seems to carry through to reliabilty to. My first one failed after about 4 months (buttons failing to respond) and while its replacment has been better ive heard of similer problems with others.
My final complaint on its construction is its size. Why is it so big? It has a massive border around the screen which is a complete waste, and ugly.
Things get better as you use the phone tho, the interface is simple and easy to navigate. Having now moved to a Viewty it does bring home how effortless the K810 is to use effeciantly. Texting, music, BT, camera are all swift and effective. Well, the camera takes a while to save pics but apart from that its excellent. In another comparison to the Viewty, the K810i can connect and be playing MP3's through my car before im off the drive. Im 2 miles down the road before the Viewty is doing the same.
And its these things that for me make this phone 'good'. Its a great phone to live with. Despite its tacky looks.
Plus: The camera can take great stills. Xenon flash. Good signal Reliable and simple music player Ease of use
Bad: Looks cheap Feels cheap Camera takes to long to to save pics Possible issues with buttons, mainly the joystick Ends up surfing if you dont return to home screen for the key lock to engage (the only place it does) M2. Why? internet difficult to use and prone to crashing the phone
This phone is superb, a great upgrade in my opinion. Much better and more convential than my previous phone the Samsung U600(in which I hated).
The lens cover slides open a bit but that is because it is in & out of my pocket all of the time. Had the phone for three months & not one fault with it so far, & I have had terrible luck with everything I have bought in 2007, this phone is excellent & I would recommend it to anyone.
The camera (3.2MP) is awesome, has photo fix, & photo create & face warp were you can do amazing things with photos. It's not a Walkman phone but has the design to be one, there's a music layer that works exactly the same as the Walkman phones :).
I also love the customisation features of the phone, the vast amount of games and software availble for it, and the themes, and if youre like me, you can get all of the latest games, themes and software for free!! From many websites, just google them:}.
This phone has a thumbs up from me, it's just superb
The K810i has everything i need/like. I like the camera and how you can zoom so much. The ringtones are so much louder on this make than any other which is good for me as i can't hear quieter sounds. I don't dislike anything about this phone. And at a great price too!!
brilliant phone, great pics! this is a brilliant camera phone which does everything you would want it to, great connectivity otions via usb ect. top rated!
i would say its average compared with what u can get now personally i wud get the c902 on contract or buy it wen the price cums dwn as atm its £400 and its gd but not quite worth that cos u cud geta klaptop 4 that much lol the c902 is much betta as its slimmer more comfortable 2 hold looks betta it has face detection a 5 megapixel camera which is excellent and the lnce cover is very slick as one minute u cn have it lookin as if it doesnt have a cmera then slide the top up 2 reveal so it looks very neat and tidy as most otha fones have a noticeable lence cover i would buy this if u wud wont 2 spend less bu if ur lookin 4 the best the c902 wud b the phone 4 u as do u really wna b there wth ur k810i wen sum1 comes along wid the c902 u will look abit stupid why have average we u cn have the best and never b dissapointed but the choose is urs
Happy with my k810i and a must have accessory at great price is the GPS enabler. Camera is excellent with good color and definition. Focus is suprisingly good. Sound quality is very good too, better than most of competition, Blackberry maybe better, just. Great value.
i brought it coz my phone needs repairs and as it was in excellent condition it was perfect AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ seller
I love the action on the buttons, nice and clicky and not too large, the see through cover looks nice but becomes prone to too many fingerprints. The camera is great for any moment and it's full of multimedia features and clever options, i love the fact that common files are supported which makes life easier. On top of this it's simple to navigate and it's easy to find what you need
Some of the downsides is that it uses the memory stick 2 instead of more popular mini/micro sd cards and it's not that small compared to other 3.2MP phones however with such a media rich phone it becomes justified. I dont use mobile internet so i can't give a verdict on that.
A great multimedia phone that won't disappoint. Size dosen't matter.
I find this a really good phone to use it has everything a phone should have. The only thing I sometimes find difficult is the joystick thing seems to stick. Apart from that a great phone.
will write it if i ever get the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a very good phone. The Keyboard is nice and solid with the buttons evenly spread out. Its an improvement on the K800i as it is slimmer, and I prefer the new keypad. Takes suprising nice, quality pictures. Its very easy to use, I just love how easy it is to listen to music, store contacts, take pictures and everything it does.
Very similar to hugely popular K800i, the model it replaced. I was a confirmed Nokia user due to it's great features and long battery life together with easy to use navigation but I have to say I am really impressed with the K810i and prefer it to my old K800i as it is lighter and doesn't weigh down my shirt pocket as much. Excellent camera and call handling features make this phone a great buy for those who want reliability with a host of features, that normally cost twice as much on sites such as ebay.
