Alicia's debut album is definitly her best album to date, and showcases her vocal abilities very well without oversinging. As with just about every album this one does have it's weak points, namely the slow and boring 'Rock Wit You' and 'Mr. Man' which doesn't seem to flow properly, and seems altogether awkward to listen to.
The singles 'Fallin'' and 'Girlfriend' are notably some of the best tracks on the album, and the cover 'How Come You Don't Call Me' see's Alicia using the full extent of her vocal range, whilst also managing to put her own touch of creativity into the track. Another gem on the album is her version of 'Loving You' entitled 'Lovin' You', where Alicia breaks the song down and gives it a new, modern R&B edge, rather than doing the bog-standard cover with the same beat and lyrics. The Interludes on the album have also been thought through, as each sounds like a seperate song in it's own right, whilst also allowing the album to flow more easily from start to finish.
