Had this in vinyl and bought it the day of its original release in 1984. A real mix with some ballads and the usual upbeat mode offerings. A few haunting tracks with Martin Gores' Somebody and 'God Fearing' Blasphemous Rumours. Track of the album (in my opinion) is 'Something to do' with its accuracy of UK factory small town life in the 80's. All in all great memories and a classic Mode album.
Some Great Reward - classic DM album. I've been looking for that for ages. Classic DM - moody, dark climates, powerful lirics, industrial noices - quite a revelation back in mid-80s. Possibly one of the breakthrough albums for the Basildon boys. One of the most interesting albums of one of the most underestimated British groups. Mind you, they enjoy a cult following anywhere outside the UK - including my native Poland. They're still massive after 25 years in business - hopefully, they will be around in 2050!!!
