Sleepers (DVD 2001)

I had seen this film years ago & loved it but it was one of those films that gets lost from thought but when it came up in a conversation I remembered how much I loved it & thought "I've got to buy it!".
Its got a fantastic cast & story so I'd challenge anyone to watch it & not be moved & not love it!!!

ive not watched the film yet but i have just read the book, and if its as good this will be a fantastic film to watch.... its about 4 friends who pull a prank ( 1 of many) and it goes horribly wrong... they all end up in prison for kids..what these 4 boys go through at the hands of the wardens is unbelieveable... their sheer determination + strong friendship help them to hold it all together....what was nice about the book is that it also continues when they all have become adults and lets you know what happens to most of the other characters which made a pleasent change....i cant wait to watch it....

I bought it for a friend who'd been looking for it, although it was a used copy it was in excellent condition.

i watched this movie when it was first relesed and loved it. i have now finally got round to buying it.

i love every aspect of this movie it shows you how the boys get revenge on the men who made their lies in prision a living hell

Brilliant film very original story line with a superb cast keeps you gripped all way through,the ultimate friendship of four young boy,s sticking together until adulthood to exact revenge on the evil prison guard's who tortured and abused them.

Action film about a group a boys who commit a crime and are sent to a kids prison, where they are abused by the prison guards. After release when they are older they run into him and want revenge. Excellent film you wont be dissapointed.

this film is really good i n my bf really injoyed it i 1st watched it on channel 4 and i was so tried coz they put it on late n i had togo sleep was so tried but is will keep u on the edgy of ya seat lol

its a harrowing story of four young boys who do something silly that got out of hand and they end up in a juvenile prison where they are subjected to awful abuse sexual and violent.many years later two of the grown up kids spot the main bad guard in a bar and shoot him dead,they are charged with murder and one of the other boys [who is now a lawyer]decides to prosecute them..........its all i can say as its full of twists and turns,brad pitt excels as do all the cast in this well written and fast burning thriller watch out for a brilliant dustin hoffman as a drunken ,drug addict lawyer who is defending them its brilliant...just be warned the twisting and turning will keep you glued..FIRST CLASS

I enjoyed this film - it is based on a true story & is quiet a touchimg film of how 4 friends suffered & were abused in the hands of people who were intrusted to care for them & how this effected later on in life. Not for the faint hearted but a genuinely good film. A great buy as retail at arounds £20.00 to purcahse on the high st.
