Nickelback - Silver Side Up (CD 2001)

I bought this Cd as a present for a friend, who had heard mine, and liked it as much as I do! I heard a Nickleback track ages ago, and bought this CD and loved all the songs as much as the original one I had heard on the radio

Excellent album, this band has had consistant hits over the past years, you know what you get before you get it.

Great CD, lots of good quality tracks, smashing. I have two others of theirs and they are alos excelent. All tracks are as i'd expect from Nickelback, brilliant.

I Love Nickelback. But as always with all of their albums it sounds really Aritficial. As in there is no raw guitar or drums. It sounds like it has all been done on a computer.
Apart from that its great!

Very impressed with the quality of the CD considering its age. Plays fine, bought because I'm a Nickelback fan and do not have any of their CDs.

Before writing this review i have already listened to 'The Long Road' and 'All the Right Reasons'. So i feel that i should use these as a comparison.

'Silver Side Up' does not boast an album full of hit singles as does ATRR. However, it does offer something different.

ATRR is an album crammed with hits, TLR is more of a 'Rock' album and SSU is generally 'Metal'.

Dont get me wrong, it has some slower tracks, ballads on there. But most songs are heavy. Nickelback seem to have lost this aspect in the later albums, slowly becoming a 'softer' rock band.

It is entirely what you want to listen to and what mood you are in.

Nickelback - Silver Side Up. Wow what an album, what an album. I was never a big fan of Nickelback until i heard "How You Remind Me" and i thought i would check out the Album. From the first track - "Never Again" it totally blew me away. The whole album, every track, full of energy with great lyrics and pure class. This still remains one of the best albums i have ever purchased - You cannot go wrong!!!!

love the artist gave his album to friend but started listening to him again and really missed my album so bought i new one on ebay for a brilliant price all the songs are different and he is not one of the sheep type bands you have around now

I bought this album as I have the others by this major US group. I wish I had bought this one first as its got raw emotion and power exuding from start to finish. Never again sends us on a journey of abuse in the home to soft ballards of love in how you remind me. Nothing to dislike, just buy it, set your volume to max and let the good times begin.

I love this album, it's got such a great vibe surrounding all the tracks. I do think there are some tracks that are better than others on this album such as "How you remind me" and "Too bad" but the rest is definately worth a listen. A stand out album in an average era of rock.

Amazing...stunning...wonderfully written, powerful lyrics. The previous few posters must not know much about Nickelback, I can tell you as a true fan.
