I decided to buy this dvd because i had heard so much about it, my friends thought that i would love it, this is because i love to watch a good mind moving dvd. When i watched this i would say that it is that...a good mind moving dvd. I enjoyed watching this dvd because i had to sit and think i found it hard to take my eyes off the screen. I found that anthony Hopkins played a great part in the film and was fantastic at playing that person that he did. i would recomend this to any one who likes a film that makes you think, cringe and has a moving ending.
Silence of the Lambs is one of the few films which I believe every adult should see. It is very tense and scary, but in a tasteful and clever manner, which should appeal to most audiences. The acting is excellent, which has been recognised by many awarding institutions. This includes the Oscars, who awarded best actor and best actress to the two lead acts of the film, played by Anthony Hopkins and Jody Foster. This amazing film, of epic brilliance and importance is one of the best films I have ever seen. I highly recommend this film to any one.
bought it for a friend, although i had an opportunity to watch it myself. i think it is an interesting movie and i had the opportunity of watching the other movies like Hannibal and Red Dragon
The second in the 3 Hannibal Lecter series, grabbed my interest before the other 2 (Red Dragon and Hannibal) were even released. Having also read all 3 books also, this still remains my personal favourite. The screenplay and acting are superb and the characters are very well chosen. As you work through the intrigue of the story and it unfolds to reveal the dark side of many of the characters, you will feel compelled to watch it again to catch the bits you didn't understand the first time and I would urge you strongly to read the book and see what your imagination adds to the story. The central character of Hannibal Lecter is perfectly matched to the book and Clarice also is excellently portrayed. Without giving up the story (although I expect most people have seen it by now!), the Buffalo Bill character has been used as a central focus for the story, but what it's really about is the mindgames being played by Lecter and his increasing connection with Clarice which will develop further in the 3rd episode, Hannibal There's not much more I can say but watch it, keep the room free of distractions and get into the atmosphere of the film. Then read the book.
