I love my horror films so I had to buy a copy of this one! Watching this film you could mistake parts of it to be a rip-off of Blair Witch without the motion-sickness inducing camera work. The story revolves around a group of youths who, with their drink and drugs, go camping. They go searching for magic mushrooms - but hey - do not consume those mushrooms as they are bad for you etc.......... I will not say anything else on the plot as I do not want to spoil any bits for those yet to watch it. I found this film a bit on the predictable side, but nevertheless it was still entertaining enough to prevent me from looking at my watch every five minutes as some other films have.
If you are expecting a blockbuster of a scary / gruesome horror film then you will be disappointed. Keep an open mind on this one and remember that it is a lower budget film and I dare say you will enjoy it, but remember that there are bigger and better horrors out there which deserve your attention.
I had high hopes for this, thought the idea for the film, the magic mushrooms had great potential. Unfortunatley it was all very predictable. The story was very ordinary. The acting was also very so so. There was no real sense of tension, it wasnt even gory by modern standards. I just feel with a bit of imagination this could have been great. There are worse films out there and it was reasonably entertaining just dont expect a horror classic.
I thought the story line was a little thin, a failing in many horror films, but this was saved by some good cineamatographic drug sequences and a nice twist ending. You could pick holes in the plot, but the whole point was reality and 'trip' merging so you are never sure if events really 'happen'. Overall not bad, but glad I didn't pay cinema prices to watch it!
This unseen edition has 3 alternative scenes and 2 alternative endings and 2 bloopers. The cast(nobody i have heard of) all take mushrooms and suffer various visions. Its a bit obvious from the start who the killer is, so there was no surprises for me. Runs for 88 minutes and was basically a good film for a unknown cast.
Well i enjoyed this film ( I think) . It started off really dry but then boy didn't it step up a gear. I was not a lover of the blair witch project but this film was in the same sense of filming which got your brain in a shape lol. Some parts of the film kept you thinking , and you then found out that you was wrong. Funny twists to it but then i only saw one ending where as this film as two endings . Never mind though i am glad that i watched it . A GOOD FILM ALL AROUND
Srangely weird, with a good twist at the end. Not one of the best horror movies I've seen before. But a great watch. I need to find something scary. No horror movie seems to scare me anymore lol. But worth having in your collection. Great movie to watch with a few frinds with plenty to eat and drink. xx
this film was GOOD! but unfortunetaly was not an excellent one. it is a good film to sit down nd watch with a few mates, easy to follow nd plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing and with an absolutaly fantastic twist which no1 wouldv seen coming! worth a look!
So I had been waiting a whole week to watch this movie.
I was so excited, as I love horror movies, and saying this was like blair witch on acid, made it sounds awesome.
So the plot goes, a group of americans go to ireland to try some shrooms.
BUT, there is a deadly shroom, that looks the same as all the others, this girl ( trying to impress one of charecter) eats one of these (there is a myth that the can open a world into the dead) and she starts seeing all these kinds of things following her and her friends, but they can't work out if it is real or not.
Ok I gave it below average, as it wasn't scary at all. not like the blair witch, that scared the be jesus out of me!!
